How We Rank "Best" Schools

%%YEAR%% Best Online %%LEVEL_NAME%% in %%PROGRAM_NAME%% Badge

The OnlineU research team ranks community colleges in each featured state using Salary Score, our proprietary measure of how graduates' earnings compare with those of students who earned the same associate degrees elsewhere. Using U.S. Department of Education earnings data, we compare each college's associate graduates with graduates of the same degrees nationwide, providing a degree-level perspective of financial outcomes rather than relying on institution-wide earnings.

When there isn't enough data to calculate a reliable Salary Score, we rank eligible schools by online enrollment, highlighting colleges with larger, more established distance-learning communities. While some of our rankings include partner schools, every school is evaluated using the exact same criteria.

This school is great for people who have a busy schedule, children, and any other obligations you might have you can work at your own pace. To be given the opportunity to excel within a growing field is exciting. UMA allows a single mother such as myself to learn beyond what I already know. The flexibility and the resources provided makes it extremely easy for you to succeed. I thought I would be overwhelmed with taking the classes. However, this is not your ordinary school. I am active duty in the military so I have a very unpredictable and busy schedule. I love that this college offers online classes that are at your own pace, meaning that you are given the assignments and they are not due until the day the class ends. I have had no issues with teachers and was decently easy to keep up with. I however enjoy more instructional learning rather than reading, so that is one thing I would like to change but I am sure they should offer it from another instructor.

North Seattle College is one of the better community colleges in the Seattle area. I've had amazing support from the financial aid office and tremendous help from the free services offered through the school: open labs and the math tutor center. I'm grateful for my experiences at North and definitely recommend this college. Most of my professors work for UW and it amazes me how I'm getting a UW education for less than 1/4 of the price. If you search any site with FSCJ you will see a plethora of negative comments. Its an institution that makes it difficult to believe they sincerely care about the students. There was an article released this year that speaks about the 10% loss of students but its no shock. FSCJ makes the schooling process way difficult breezes other local colleges. Financial aid is the WORST, many students struggle cause they wait weeks into the semester to see any financial aid that is the cost of books, etc. How... Read More

For those reading the previous or subsequent reviews, please note that the negative comments were from people who quit the course of instruction after a couple classes. I do not think it acceptable to write a thorough review with such limited knowledge and therefore, it is basically a person complaining who didn't give it their best shot. Bottom line, they quit. I absolutely LOVE Argosy University Online! I am going online to pursue an Associates Degree in Psychology, and then hopefully further my education through them. I do not think that it is easy work handed out to their students, I too, have had to sacrifice a lot to get to where I am at academically.
