2. After being disqualified, admission staff treat students coldly. No exit meeting, no follow up, nothing. I received an email from the admissions office saying something along the lines of "We regret to inform you that you're disqualified. Best of luck.". The only ones who made an effort were a couple of my professors and one professor who was not even my professor, but genuinely cared about her students.
3. With the exception of a newly hired Civil Procedure professor, all of my professors were supportive and consistently made themselves available to meet with me, even outside of their scheduled office hours. I reached out to the Civil Procedure professor on multiple occasions seeking guidance, but my emails went unanswered. Even during office hours, it was difficult to get in touch with the professor. Notably, Civil Procedure was the only course I did not pass, which ultimately led to my academic disqualification.
Additionally, the inability to review a graded midterm examination in Civil Procedure was particularly detrimental. Many students were left unaware of their academic standing in the course, and the lack of feedback, combined with the professor鈥檚 unavailability, made it difficult to identify deficiencies and improve performance.
At the end of the day, the other professors I had the privilege to teach me were awesome. I hope the school does take the time to reflect on how this affects their former, current and future students.
