My advice is to go elsewhere for your PhD. When I enrolled in the PhD program I was met with the most toxic professor I’ve encountered. 3/4 of the class dropped it by the halfway point and I should have followed. I decided to go elsewhere for my education as one professor can reflect on the entire program.

I obtained my BSN from Concordia University and felt that I was well equipped to function as a nurse in most capacities and units. The program provided diverse opportunities for learning and growth and supported my desires and interests. I enjoyed collaborating with the teachers and felt that the course work and expectations were communicated well and were fair.

My master's program was a cohort & it was wonderful! Convenient location, great group of people that I worked with throughout the two years in the program.

I am the first to graduate with a bachelors degree in the Pre-Art Therapy program since this program just opened in the year 2016. The financial aid service and career service are very helpful when it comes to financial stability. I enjoyed professors in the English, art and psychology department because they where willing to give advice on educational and personal life experiences.

Concordia University Chicago is a great school if you want to become a teacher. Our education program is awesome. But most of the other programs are mediocre. This university does a great job of recruiting prospects and making them feel important. Once you have been accepted everything changes and you become just a number. I met some great people during my time there but what the things I was taught I felt I could have learned on my own.

The program is flexible and allows me to progress at my own pace. The content is appropriate and thought provoking.

Some of the above categories do not apply to the online instructional experience. This may effect the overall rating. The online program has been challenging and enlightening. I'm inspired by our discussions but miss the conversation aspect of attending classroom sessions.

Concordia's Educational Leadship program is outstanding. The work is rigorous no doubt but purposeful. Instructors have all been supportive and extremely knowledgeable. Staff at the school has so far been very responsive to any needs I have had. I would highly recommend this program to others.

The completely online doctoral program really helps with connecting with fellow students across the nation. Everybody (faculty and students alike) are very easily accessible and have been readily available to answer questions and assist with projects.

The flexibility of an online graduate program in Gerontology supports my work-life balance. The course content is applicable to my career and the instructors are top notch. The only con for me would be an interpersonal disconnect from my professors and cohort group. Although we interact online, I sometimes miss the person-to-person contact.

I feel that I have learned a lot from the courses I have taken in my graduate program, but I feel that the on-campus staff and various departments are very unorganized and not at a graduate level of productivity. I hope that my future classes and experiences prove my thoughts in a more positive manner.

From my point of view there is no con to my graduate program. Since I have been in the MBA Program, I have been entertained by numerous future job offers. I made a great decision.

Pros: Concordia does a nice job and changing its curriculum to stay on top of latest trends in the area of educational administration. Cons: Not all of the professors communicate as regularly as I would expect. There are some dandies, but there are definitely some duds.

The support provided by the faculty was great. Communication was always open and available.
