I haven't been able to land a job with an engineering title. I used to have an AS in Engineering Technology and worked as a technician for a few years. Then went back to finish my BS with the notion that I would be able to transition into an engineering role. The faculty even labeled us "ET students" as engineers throughout the program. Turns out that... Read More

UNLV is a wonderful school. I recommend it to anyone pursing a career with a bachelors degree or higher. The school has several extra curricular activities available, a gymnasium available for all students and the campus is neat and maintained. The library is massive and they have several places to grab a bite on campus.

RIT is a great school with excellent professors. RIT offers programs which include co-op (work) blocks so that students can graduate with work experience to overcome the most common hurdle a graduate has, lack of experience.

Michigan Technological University is an amazing engineering college. The professors are amazing and have lots of respect and understanding for the students. Not only is the academic side amazing, the things you can do around campus are great. It's awesome if you love participating in outdoor recreation. A couple of complaints I have would be specific to certain professors. The only problem I can think of is how expensive tuition has gotten in the last couple of years, but that's about it, the living... Read More

Georgia Institute of Technology offers a great education for engineers and business majors in the deep south. It is considered a public ivy, and its education supports that. Classes are very rigorous here, and many students here aren't as sociable. The environment can be very depressing.

The teachers in the engineering program assign unrealistic programs with little guidance. I have sat in the hallway during professor hours and professor was a no show or very late. There is no tutoring offered. The ENGR 340 Heat and Mass Transfer professor grades digitally, so you can spend a week working on something and if you don't have it perfect, you get a 0. It is rough when professors are not there to help you and then there are no aides because it is a small school. There is zero tutoring... Read More
