Mizzou was a great choice for me as a student. One thing that I truly appreciated about Mizzou was the amount of opportunities you had attending there. If you wanted to be a social butterfly, run for leadership, and stand out, you could. If you wanted to fly under the radar, graduate, and leave, you could. There are so many services and resources available for students. The student center was always busy, you could always get a meal, and the rec center is full of great equipment, two different pools,... Read More

Mizzou was an amazing schol to go to as a media studies student. You have many oprotunities to learn and get involved in the community and arts scene. They could have handled COVID alot better, my freshman year was very difficult to navigate and the resources offered werent great.

It was a decent school but not well suited for my degree. It is great if you're pursuing a journalism degree, but the engineering school did not go as in depth into my field as I had hoped. I love the campus, the people there, and the amenities, but I believe I could have gotten a better education elsewhere

Mizzou has been a wonderful school to me. I have met some of the most amazing people here and my professors show me so much care. I am well taken care of here at Mizzou and I know that this school will push me to do my best through anythings. I would choose this university over and over because the environment is so friendly open. There is an amazing community that has been built here and continues on throughout the years.

While Mizzou may not be the most prestigious of colleges in the United States, or in the Midwest, its a solid state school with a wide variety of degrees and experiences for students to take part in. My online program at Mizzou was (in my opinion) well handled through Blackboard (software) via online lessons, asynchronous group chats, homework with clear due dates and deadlines and clear communication between students and professors. I felt like I received a comprehensive masters education, had several... Read More

Fairly high-quality academics for Missouri, but still very much a typical SEC state school more than an "elite" institution. Campus is well-maintained and quite beautiful in spring and fall. Lots of student organizations available for practically any interest under the sun, and most degree programs have hands-on training mandatory as part of their course of study. However, the university is still somewhat lacking in terms of career development initiatives; particularly in the political science and... Read More

The university itself is fine. I like some professors there when attending my classes since they can teach very well. I just do not like my own advisor and he can’t treat people in his lad as human and many of my coworkers either transferred to other labs or quit from the university.

The University of Missouri has shaped me into the individual I am today. Throughout my four years there I made life long friendships, gained expertise in child development and joined organizations that prepared me for the work force. The campus is also beautiful, which made it enjoyable to walk to and from class. There are things to do outside of school too, like exploring downtown and hiking at the nearby parks!

The NEP program was great. It was well-rounded and has helped me in my career. The professors in the major are knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful. They are quick to respond to questions or point you in the right direction to get help. There are so many helpful departments. I enjoyed my time there.

It's been 11 years since I last attended University of Missouri, but as a minority student enrolled from 2010-2104, it was great. We had the new student center at the time and the gym had just been redone as well. The on-campus amenities were very useful, especially after Freshman year. I also enjoyed the curriculum. Some classes like organic chem 1 and 2 were tough, but others like mamm phys and biology 1500 were rewarding. Overall, if you're thinking about coming to Mizzou, don't hesitate. We joined... The ISLT program at Mizzou was a great experience. The coursework was practical and pushed me to think about how technology truly supports learning. The faculty were supportive and knowledgeable, and I always felt like I could apply what I was learning right away. Working with classmates from many roles also broadened my perspective. Overall, the program strengthened my skills in instructional design, tech integration, and leadership.

Attending the University of Missouri was one of the best decisions I made in regards to my education. The College of Agriculture Food and Natural Resources was such a personable environment where everyone worked together to make sure that the students were able to achieve success. I truly enjoyed my time at CAFNR and in the Ag Ed program.

The University of Missouri provided great resources for its students. Being a Research I Institution provided for great research and library services. There are also hundreds of organizations to get involved with to further master your major. These organizations prepare you for internships and full-time jobs.

The problem with a "Do you Recommend? Yes or No" is that it's too black and white for a law student to really make a good determination. However, I will do my best to help future law students with this transition. Overall: I love Mizzou. I would recommend you visiting and going to the University of Missouri School of Law. Pros: - Professors are (mostly) great, there are a few, just like at every school, that do not seem to care about their students and really are only into their paycheck or prestige.... Read More

Don't let the University of Missouri being a state school turn you off of this great school university. It is very reasonable and it has programs to meet any interest (and I mean any interest- I was a Classical Humanities major!) and has one of the best journalism schools in the country. Overall I had a wonderful experience at the University of Missouri. Columbia is very much the quintessential college town where everything a student would need is a short distance away. I felt like the school had a wide variety of courses, extracurricular opportunities and resources. Although extremely expensive, I did appreciate the fact that Mizzou put a lot of money back into the school for updated facilities, residential halls and state of the equipment.

Great campus! Quaint and easy to get around. The entire city of Columbia revolves around the University so there are plenty of student discounts and deals. For those interested in persuing a theater degree, the summer stock theater program is a great way for students to get an idea of what it's like to work in professional theater. The playwrighting program is amazing and there are plenty opportunities to showcase your work in various workshops and contests.
