There are a few things I wish I had known. 1. they advertise that they take into consideration your job experience. Having been a bookkeeper/accountant for 15 years, I thought I would not have to take any sort of internship. I was wrong. However, since I work full time, an internship is not doable, so instead, they have you shell out another $1,000 and 2 months for an "experiential learning" class. 2. The professors in my degree (accounting) did not teach. They proctored. They graded. I never (not... Read More

I attended WGU for about a year under the BS accounting program. I completed 12 classes towards that degree, then I made it to Inter. Acct 1 and it stopped me right in my tracks. I have an associates in accounting and work in accounting. However, given my past experience and education for accounting I was not able to make it through that program. I have now dropped out and will try to go back for the BSMG degree next year. So is WGU a good school? Overall I was pleased with the school. I hate I wasn't... Read More

SNHU Online is a great program for people like me that have already started their career and want to finish their degree but it's difficult to take classes in campus due to all of life's demands such as work, family and church. I would definitely recommend the program, one day after I finished I had already found a position within my filed of study.

SNHU is an excellent program to be able to do at home, online. It is some of the best classes I have taken, alongside with some of the most difficult. The instruction and interaction is much better than some of the online programs I have done.

UCF's Accounting program is rigorous and rewarding. I am now attending graduate school, and I feel that my degree from UCF has certainly prepared me for this endeavor; UCF covered extensive topics that are just now being introduced to some of my graduate peers. There were plenty of networking opportunities at the university, but it is one of the largest in the nation, and thus very competitive. I must also note that it was difficult to attend UCF as a working student. Many networking opportunities... Read More

Overall I would say my experience at my school has been pretty good. I will say the environment and the campus life is great and most of the academics are pretty good. However I will say at least in the business route some of the professors are straight terrible and need to be changed.

I had a good experience with this school because it was an affordable education for the area. Things could have been better at this school. Some of the administrative staff were not forthcoming with information. Overall I had a good experience at this school.

Overall pretty good. Most of the professors were of medium-high quality that care about their subject, but not all. The business building was relatively new and a nice place to study. The business capstone class was fairly interesting and put me into an environment that flourished in. However, I did not like that nearly every class used a 'test bank' at that point, in which students could locate the answers for the tests online if they paid a bit of money, ruining the integrity of the class. A huge... Read More

Top Small-School Experience, Graduated 2017

The University of the Cumberlands is an amazing small school where you can really get connected with your professors. While the actual city of Williamsburg is small and in the middle of no where, it forces you to focus mainly on your education. I recommend Cumberlands 10/10.

Overall, Clemson University's Accounting program is rigorous. Most professors are more than willing to work with you to aid in your learning. You also emerge very prepared to network and succeed in the professional world. There is also a Master's program for those pursuing a CPA license that have not yet met the hours requirement for the license. Most of the upper level courses are challenging, and require students to dedicate a large number of hours to each of them in order to be successful.

Maryland is a great school to go to! The athletics are a lot of fun and the academics are pretty solid too. The surrounding area is not very nice so I would say don’t wander too far off campus. There is also a lot of crime so I would not say it’s the safest.
