The education provided was very nice and majority of the course work was actually based around my major. It's didn't feel like my degree was more general education rather it was more information technology with a concentration in cybersecurity. The school is very responsive and actively makes sure students are successful. They also dealt with the VA for me whenever the VA made a mistake. I was a former university of phoenix student & Georgia State Student. I had withdrawn from the university of Phoenix due to it not having virtual class settings. I made the deans list and felt like I was teaching myself. I wanted to have a better learning experience. So I choose to go to Purdue university global. I love the University and virtual class leaning. I felt like I was on campus I was able to understand my learning material better with the lecture and ask questions. If I miss one I was... Read More able to look at the video. My enrollment and academic adviser was very attentive. The university offers Internships and its a class that I took. The company is amazing that intern for. The University of phoenix have nothing like this plus my to Wishon was way cheaper at Purdue global university. Also, you can join clubs a great way to network and more. The only thing I would wish that the university offers scholarships for students that have a high GPA and a link that students can view for scholarship opportunities from third parties. I work very hard investing in my degree with a high GPA. A scholarship would mean a lot to hard working students, and the graduation rate will be higher as well. I would recommend this University. You have a team that will work with you & make sure you be successful. Close mouths never get eats, and theirs always a solution by communication.

When I originally joined this school back in 2017 I had high hope that this would be the school for me. After 2 years now and a whole new layout to the school I am uncertain and will be transferring. The school took a major change when it changed the school name .They changed the website and other things while students are trying to learn and that is very unprofessional. I am not pleased with the 10 weeks for 1 class and I think it should be shorter. If you don't more then a few days set aside you... Read More will fail and as far as if your struggling with the classes and need help from the tutors don't expect much help from them. Every Professor you get will have different rules and guidelines so there is a gray line in the grading. Some Professor's you also might get more than once. I think the school is okay but I think there could be improvement. If your trying to get financial help and need to talk back in forth with the financial aid people that will be a struggle as well. Financial aid for Purdue could use some major improvements. I had serious issues and never got them resolved. because there was very little communication. Last thing you will get some Professors that are more helpful than others and you will get some Professors that take there job way to serious. Early on in my schooling things were going great the next thing I new things took a major change and I was only a few courses in. Like take a chill pill I'm learning things should not be this intense for a brand new student and I think that's why the graduation rate is 25right now because things don't make sense. I was in a class with a student who was going for the same stuff as me and they were graduating in a month and It seemed to me I was in a class that I should have took near the end of the year . There just seems, that some things don't make sense when you talk to other students.

Most of these reviews seem to be the fault of the student. EX: Not following up on pricing, not reaching out before the last minute, not understanding the school is for online, self-motivated students. I have completed one term (4 classes) with Rasmussen so far, I will probably post another review when I complete my degree. Read More week of class our communication became less but I never felt ignored, I could always reach out with questions. Most reviews I have seen are negative because they didn't like the instructors teaching style or curriculum. What do you expect with online courses? All online courses are designed to get what you give, if you read and truly push yourself with the material then you learn. If you leave it up to the instructor who's main purpose is to grade and clarify concepts, of course you'll feel like you're wasting your time. Honestly I have not had any issues yet. The courses are interesting and can be challenging. The instructors I've had have all been responsive and informative.The school is pricey but i'm fine with paying for the shorter classes and fully online experience. I would definitely recommend this school if you work full time and need an online schedule.

I'd like to start with: a lot of the reviews are either about the cost, financial aide, or personal problems. You cannot blame your own issues, misunderstandings, etc on the school. This schools financial aide department is incredible (speaking in terms of the Milwaukee, WI department), they've been nothing but helpful and have given me more understanding on the process than any school has before. The cost is warranted, you're getting a Purdue University degree, great curriculum to learn, and fantastic... Read More professors. This isn't a free-ride school. You come down with a sickness, you're the one paying for the degree, not them. They are online classes, you can do this stuff from anywhere with an internet connection and computer or even a phone. They don't have to give you sympathy because you're sick and for some reason can't complete classes that are ONLINE. If you were attending a brick-and-mortar college, you'd be given absolutely no sympathy. However, I've heard from multiple professors that they allow late assignments depending on the circumstances. If you can send them a properly formatted email stating what happened/is happening, they'll most likely understand and give you some extra time with maybe only a small ding in your grade. I honestly feel like a majority of these negative reviews expect to pay $30k and get a degree in 3 months, that's not how it works. You pay the cost, you complete the classes with passing grades, and you receive your degree in the normal amount of time (2+ years) just like a brick-and-mortar college. I absolutely do not regret attending to this school. It's easy to navigate, understand, and the professors are friendly. They try to give you the best experience that they can. I can't wait to graduate and possibly attend this school for my bachelors.

My enrollment counselor was really nice but failed to tell me the cost. I accepted my award letter then last week realized that even with my financial aid I had a bill where I owe them money. Out was not a small amount. I explained that I needed a school where I could use financial aid cuz my previous school shouldn't let me. I can't afford to pay out of pocket and I waned an education. This was extremely disappointing. I'm 4 weeks in and the last week trying to decide if it's even worth it anymore.... Read More I would stay away or at least do a ton of research first. I prefer to stay away from the Financial services. Also right before financial aid was due to post they told me I needed to get a paper for educational purposes that needed notarized. I can't believe they waited till right before they were to post. Also the form has to be mailed they said they can't post my funds until they get this document. Unfortunately for me I don't have $3 to my name right now post it took me 3 hours to find a notary near me. I'm just saying I guess I was stupid and got excited to start back to school that I ignored warning signs. I think I'm going to go to a community college... Good luck to you and your education!

My experience at Rasmussen was very sub-par in my opinion. Lack of communication, stressful, expensive both from loans and out of pocket. Overall I would not recommend it to anyone; the experience was very costly and emotionally taxing. Let's go over the advantages first because the negatives will be lengthy. It was convenient without a doubt. If I had a much smoother experience in communication, it would have been very manageable. Second, they have a few excellent instructors. I ran into two myself... Read More in my two years, which not a great ratio mind you, but worth mentioning. Now for the negatives, which I will simply share my experience. I was at Rasmussen for two years. During these two years, nothing monumental. During Dec 2018 I was told that I had to complete five additional classes by the end of the month to graduate. Roughly an additional 20 credits for $400, on top of my current finals. I was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of coursework to do that I started failing. I do admit; I could have buckled down, thrown my emotions and worries out the door, and got it done. I didn't however, and the mindset of there is no possible way I can do this set in. So I had to sign up for three additional full-time classes, which is more loans and $1,000 out of pocket. I was accidentally signed up for a class and had to fight to have that refunded with a heavy emphasis on "fight". The director I spoke to, Adam F, was continually trying to push blame towards me while I had never been told that these courses existed and where to find what was required. Let's skip ahead three months and complete the three classes I signed up for. One of the classes that I was informed how they worked until December expired. As a result, I am taking one four-credit class, which since I only have one class is not covered for finical aid. As a result, an additional $1,400 out of pocket for that one class. So recapping, I spent roughly two years, approximately $20,000 in debt, and $2,400 out of pocket in the last month for my Associates. I would not recommend Rasmussen and encourage you to look at other options. I myself am looking at Metropolitan State in MN because they have an online MBA, about a third of the cost, and far better offerings.

When determining whether or not to go back to school I decided to do my research and explore all of my options. I inquired to many different schools, looked at reviews and tons of programs that I feel would be best for me. Now before I go on, I am full time employee with a family and child. The reason I chose online, instead of the conventional "in class", is because I simply don't have the time or energy to go to a classroom after working a 10hour shift. After narrowing my choices down to a few... Read More school, I chose Rasmussen. The recruiter was very friendly, gave me all the information I needed and when I had questions she always called me back within 24hrs. Trust me, I called a lot and asked a ton of questions, sometimes even the same. She didn't come off as annoyed and always responded with respect. Tuition is reasonable. Of course you may save cost if you go to a junior college, but I felt what I wanted to study is what they were offering. I didn't have to complete a bunch of BS classes that are required at some other schools. I did have some college credit which transferred over nicely. My first two classes were business management and intro to software development. My instructor for business was phenomenal. She was engaged and answered all my emails in less than 24hr hours if I had a question. My software development class started off rocky with some technical difficulties from the teacher. The class started almost a week late. I called the office and spoke with the dean. I received a quick response and also received a follow up call once the issue was resolved. We did have to double up work for a week to catch up but that is fine. Problems happen. The teacher apologized for the inconvenience and helped every step of the way, even understanding if an assignment was a day late or so. When I emailed the professor I always received a response back within 24hours. Im taking advanced algebra now followed by object oriented programing. The classes are challenging and despite the one technical difficulty the teachers are very responsive. The work load is challenging, but if you are organized and set aside time you will succeed. If you expect to be hand held, or are lazy you will fail miserably and have a bad time. If you are organized and put effort, you will do just fine. I am hoping to complete my associates in software development and then transfer out to Arizona state or possibly DePaul to get my bachelors. Rasmussen is accredited and their courses do transfer over. They do work directly with Lewis University which is a great school if you wish to transfer. Overall my experience has been pleasant and for a full time working father/husband I couldn't ask for anything more.
