Maybe this used to be a good school, but that is no longer the case. Classes are not designed by professors and do not feature PhD level material. No interest in scholarship, narrowly focused on practice. That said, the Social Justice Practicum requirement is badly designed and feels more like an intentional hurdle than an accomplishment. I completed the program only because I had no other options and was already deeply invested. Would not recommend.

At Adler, Professors are great. People are great. The administration is abysmal. They frequently don't make expectations clear to students and then get angry with students for asking basic questions. They are completely disconnected from the professors and student body and just view us a dollar signs.

Theory and practical implementation are combined in Adler's Environmental/Natural Resource Economics curriculum. Small class sizes and helpful teachers improve learning. Strong emphasis on sustainability, while additional possibilities for fieldwork would be fantastic.

Adler University is one of the few schools with a counselling psychology program including a course on Trauma. That itself speaks to the importance and the quality of the program. Professors are excellent and although expensive- they support your education and want you to succeed. The counselling psychology program is one of the best!

The online program is abysmal. The teachers don’t teach the material or barely answer questions. It’s literally teaching yourself for $900 a credit hour. No phone numbers, they expect us to use email only. Worse program I’ve ever been in. Unless you want to teach yourself and be ignored, go anywhere, but here.

Adler spares every expense on this $60,000 per year education. I do believe I will be given the materials that I need to prepare for licensure. It’s been difficult to see how Adler does not address cohorts concerns. Performative/dated social justice.

Not recommended at all, a total waste of money and time. One instructor in the I/O program in particular is extremely unprofessional, rude and incompetent. I don't know why they keep that person as a faculty member. It's also ridiculous how this school insists in completing a social justice practicum while the students struggle to complete their assignments on time. Overall, a joke of institution.

Public Policy and Administration of Canada campus is a hell! It is like a residential school! Really it is not a university. I am so sorry for my time and money which were wasted in this hell! It is not only my idea, it is the ideas of all my students. If you want to see racism, discrimination, system of privilege, and system of domination you can start in this field in Adler University especially Canada campus. You can experience them practically!

PsyD Program is strong but requires a lot of self-directed motivation to be successful. Professors are helpful but sometimes overloaded with too many students. The Chicago campus is great and up to date. There are a lot of resources available but students must seek them out on their own.

I personally enjoyed my academic journey at Adler. As a doctoral student now, I can only thank the faculty advisors and other professors at Adler for their continuous support. The curriculum was practitioner-based and overall it was a great learning experience.

Adler University is well known for clinical training in psychology. The staff have great merit and offer great knowledge and expertiese. The school itself is a social justice school, so culture and diversity are invited, discussed and acknowledged throughout the program. This program prepared me for my professional career and helped me learn crucial counseling skills to help clients become successful in their own lives.

My program was online. I was able to work a full-time job while completing my degree. The instructors were very knowledgeable and responded to every question I had. The structure of the online program Adler uses is great (the app too!) I was able to pull up assignments from wherever I was. The coursework was closely tied to what I will be doing in my professional career. I feel like I will use everything I learned.

The professors and staff at Adler are incredibly professional and helpful. They were especially understanding when it came to my military schedule interfering with some of the papers and projects that were due. The discussion generated online was always lively and added greatly to the overall experience.

Adler University has provided me numerous opportunities to excel in both my civilian and military careers. I am eventually aiming to secure a job in the Operational Sector in order to best use the skills gained from both combat as well as the university to best of my ability. Easing the mental pains of my battle brothers.
