The online option for completing my masters fit my schedule well. The professors were helpful and responded in a timely manner. Group work expectations for the online environment were reasonable. I learned a lot and my degree has helped me further my education career.

My time at Ball State University has been an incredibly valuable experience both academically and personally. As a finance student, I have been able to develop strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills through challenging coursework and hands-on projects. The professors have been supportive and knowledgeable, and many of my classes connected real-world business concepts to practical applications, which helped prepare me for my future career.

Beyond academics, Ball State gave me opportunities to grow as a person. I met people from different backgrounds, improved my leadership and teamwork abilities, and became more independent throughout my college journey. The environment encouraged both personal and professional development, and I feel much more prepared to enter the workforce because of the experiences I had there.
Overall, my time at Ball State has helped shape my goals, work ethic, and future career path. I am grateful for the education, experiences, and connections I made during my time there, and I believe the university provided a strong foundation for my future in finance and business.

The environment and culture were really great, and overall I had a good time and got a lot of hands-on experience. Unfortunately there weren't many good opportunities to break into the job market through the program itself, so I never really got off the ground with my career.

Ball State allows students to get into the field by providing opportunities in the school. It allowed me to see what grade I wanted to be apart of and to gain experience. For teaching, it offered a lot of different options with what field I wanted to be in. I was able to go into just K-3 along with doing special education.

Graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis gave a good foundation; however, the true grit of education comes from your clinical experience, which the school (at the time) did not provide. That is where the majority of learning comes from. The program did a great job setting you up with foundation skills and deep understand of concepts, but putting them into motion was the true test. If you are unable to secure clinical placement, you are left with a large gap in understanding, leaving several students... Read More

Ball State was a great in-state environment. I personally went there because of the in-state tuition costs. I think that if a person lives outside the state of Indiana, Ball State would not be the best place. I think that the school is great, but state schools tend to get over looking in the career world.

Ball State is a GREAT school! I learned a lot about my field and even though it was an online environment, I learned a lot hands on during my supervised fieldwork experience. I did a lot of mock assignments which really allowed me to get a good picture of what my future holds.

Ball state provided a quality focused education in school psychology and I left the campus confident in my skills and prepared. On campus, there has been great efforts to improve and modernize the facilities and buildings. Academically there was a sink or swim vibe to the faculty and an emphasis on pressure.

Ball State is a terrific institution that offers a wide range of degrees and activities. The campus is just the right size to feel like you have room to move, but everything is within walking distance. Faculty and staff have great, people first attitudes. The only thing lacking is the athletic success by the different teams fielded.

I started my degree in the fall of 2012 and didn't finish until the summer of 2025. Ball State was very accommodating to me and my situation. Ball State is great at staying committed to students and communicating with them as well. I would recommend Ball State to anyone.

Something I loved about Ball State University, but did not realize nor take part in as much until later in attendance, was the wide variety of resources, assistance, and entertainment the university offered. The huge library was full of resources, both in literature, studying assistance, and technology assistance. There were other academic resources that I did not necessarily need to look into myself, but if someone needed help there seemed to be a lot of avenues. And there was so much artistic entertainment,... Read More

The BSU campus is nice and is close to amenities. The professors and classes themselves are OK for the most part. I felt like there was a lot of sexism in my program (computer science) towards female students, so I’d be wary about recommending it for other women.

I am an alumni of Ball State University ('01; Muncie, IN). I grew up in Muncie, and Ball State was my first choice for college given it was in my home town. The campus is beautiful, and the weather is great! Although it took me some time to figure out what I wanted to be when I "grew up," my instructors at Ball State helped me find my career path and provided me guidance in that direction.

This program is unbelievably bad. Run poorly, constant issues with third party platforms, advisors do absolutely nothing to help. I had to withdraw from a class because their Shadow Health system didn’t work for the first four weeks of the semester despite spending about five hours on multiple calls with the customer support team. I was forced to withdraw from the course and they refused to give me my money back even though it was their issue. They schedule exams on the same days as clinical competencies,... Read More

Ball State was a fair school, the price was extremely reasonable and felt like I got great value out of my time spent. I wish I would have been challenged further, as connecting my education to my work took me sometime to develop, and is some tbh one I am continuing to develop. But it opened up many doors for and I am grateful for my education.

I attended BSU because I wanted to advance in my field and a supervior I respected recommended the college to me. After research the online program was among the better cost options and was flexible enough to accomodate my work setting and hours. I have since graduated and felt as if completion of my program left me prepared to work in higher positions and sit for my board exams.

Ball state university was a great school for me. I received a large scholarship that covered 90 percent of my tuition and expenses. This alone made it a great option for me and my needs. Ball state has a great campus and was close to my friends and family which made it another great choice. Ball state has a great computer science program and it's even better now with the new department chair.

I had some good experiences at Ball State. Ball State is in my hometown of Muncie Indiana. I had considered going to other colleges that were outside of my hometown. I thought that I might be better off getting out of the city and having experiences away from home. However, I ended up staying in Muncie and going to Ball State. I feel like that was the best decision for me. I got a good education. I met some good friends that I am still friends with to this day.

I don’t believe the degree was helpful in obtaining a career. The instruction did not mirror the requirements of the employment opportunities that I experienced. The administration was HORRIBLE. The on-campus experience was fine, except for parking which is HORRIBLE. The school nickels and dimes you to death. Even something as simple as obtaining a copy of your transcripts for a completed degree that you paid tens of thousands of dollars to get, costs $18, and only the admin can send it on your behalf....
