The MSW program at Chico definitely has its pros and cons. Some of the faculty are amazing and really care about Social Work and us as students. Like any program, there are others who don't seem to share the same passion. I feel like there could be more support of the faculty in regards to supporting us in our internships and in the community. My graduate program offers wonderful field work experiences and great support from the faculty. However, they do seek for students not to be working during the program, which for many of us students is a problem.

I moved form Southern California to attend Chico State's School of Social Work and I am glad I did. It has been a fantastic experience with a great group of faculty and students alike.

Though there is support from faculty and staff, the rigor of the program can be, at times, disappointing. Your education is what you make it here. However, the campus is beautiful and staff generally appear to care about the progress students make. I think the lack in rigor stems from a fairly "young" program.
