During my time in California State University Dominguez Hills, there were some good teachers who were good at their job at teaching the material and I enjoyed going to attend those classes and learned a lot in those classes. There were also many teachers who were bad at their teaching job and didn't really teach us the material that well and expected us to do the reading on our own and not be able to ask questions. If I had a choice I would not attend this school again.

California State University, Dominguez Hills is an excellent school with a smaller campus and has a great selection of majors. It is often an afterthought of the state schools in the area, but it is one of the most cost effective, and has a great professor to student ratio for classes.

CSUDH is a great university. It is often overlooked when one is considering attending college, but it's one of the things that makes it great. Being overlooked means that the majors are not impacted like in other schools in the CSU system. The classes are small, which means that professors will be more willing to help you if you have any questions about classes.

College was great and professors were very helpful. The campus was beautiful and I had access to unlimited resources. There was a more than enough convenient parking spaces and our campus was very clean. The culture was very diverse which is one of the reasons I loved this university.

My time at CSUDH was incredibly rewarding. From orientation to graduation, it was clear that the environment was very collaboration-heavy, and I felt supported by both faculty and staff who genuinely care about student success. Many of the professors I had were approachable, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. What I appreciated was how practical and career-focused many of the courses were. I didn’t just learn from PowerPoint or by taking notes; I was applying concepts through projects, group... Read More

Not to mention its wide diversity and low costs, CSUDH is a great place to not only learn, but also to move into the next step of your career. I highly recommend this university.

It was a great educational experience. Professors and classes were good. The only downside was the parking situation. I don't know if it has changed now but the price of the parking pass was outrageous and the parking was bad. Other than that it was a really good experience, the library is definitely the place to be.

My college was more of a commuter school, so it was easier to focus compared to a school that had more of a social aspect to it. I enjoyed all of my teachers for the most part and felt they were all very knowledgeable. I was part of the dance team which I enjoyed and helped me to connect with the school.

I would rate California State University, Dominguez Hills a solid 4 out of 5 stars overall. My experience at CSUDH was positive in many important ways, specially in terms of personal growth, academic discipline and learning how to navigate college life. The University has a supportive environment, approachable professors, and a diverse student population that made it feel welcoming. I gained valuable skills such as time management, critical thinking, and collaborating, which benefits no matter what... Read More

I had a good experience here. they did a good job updating the facilities when I was on campus and I still go up there years later to keep in touch with people and i've seen the school continue to improve. the professors I had were great and were highly invested in your development and showed an interest in you which is one thing which specifcially stands out to me.

The school itself is amazing, the teachers and courses are great and the school atmosphere is nice too. I just wish the counselors actually cared more about their students and the importance of graduation. I came to find out that I was in school a year longer than I needed to be because a counselor had advised me to take courses that I didn’t need. Definitely a waste of time and money.

I truly enjoyed my experience at Dominguez. I really enjoyed the faculty (particularly my English professors). The class sizes were small resulting in a very close relationship with the professors. I loved the library. I felt the whole atmosphere was gemütlich (sorry for the pretentious insertion of a German word.
I transferred there after attending CSUN. I didn't enjoy my experience there at all. It was so crowded and most of the instructors I had were cold and kind of mediocre.

CSUDH ROCKS!!! My undergraduate experience was amazing. I enjoyed my time and made some good friends along the way. I encountered genuinely caring and supportive staff who are willing to work with you especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only do I strongly recommend this school but I encourage anyone who is looking into continuing their education in social work to apply for the MSW program. I did and I have been accepted to start the 3 year MSW program in Fall 2022. I am so happy and proud... Read More

Everything on campus is so unorganized, from education to extracurriculars. I am a transfer student and was on schedule to graduate early, but due to bad advising I have to actually stay an extra year and every semester I sign up for classes it takes me about a month to figure why I have silly holds on my accounts or other bull. The school does not adhere to their policies, often doing contrary to what they had originally said. Additionally, there are so many people hired in important roles that... Read More

Cal St Dominguez Hills, is a good school maybe not as popular as Long Beach or Fullerton. Professors are in professionals in there subject matter. Whether there Police chiefs, healthcare administrators, or Administrative Judges. It all comes down to what you make of it. Classes are not overly packed, people from all walks of life attend here, which helps you network with a diverse student body. Yes there are better Cal States, but DH is a good school.

Dominguez Hills MSW Program is the newest, least known and least prestigious than any other CSU MSW Program. I know several placements that wills not consider nor accept Dominguez Hills MSW students for internships. CSU Los Angeles, Long Beach, Northridge and Fullerton offer a more varied program. I was not able to chose any electives at Dominguez Hills, nor were we allowed to register for the professor of our choice. The only thing worse than the academics at Dominguez Hills is the administration.... Read More

My undergraduate experience was absolutely amazing. I was very active on campus as I works and volunteered for various programs. I also help several job position titles throughout my time on campus. It allowed for me to view education from a different lens. My number one tip to student going through their undergrad experience is to make those connections with professors and faulty as they may be able to write recommendation letter for you potentially. Cal State University Dominguez Hills is a college that supports it's students and stands for the quality of their students education. If you chose to succeed in school, CSUDH will support you in plenty of ways. The Liberal Studies Program was extremely insightful on what the life of an educator will be like in the Los Angeles area and did not mislead us of the career. However, it was very impacted and counseling within the department could be much better. The University Academic Advising Center was... Read More

CSUDH is a good school. The campus is large enough that you dont have to see the same people all the time, but small enough that you cant really get lost. The criminal justice program has classes at night typically because the professors are sheriffs and judges during the day. Therefore you get a real good insight to certain topics brought up in those classes and it makes for very interesting discussions throughout the class.

CSUDH was a phenomenal school with an excellent English Department. The smaller size of the school, in addition to having the funding backed by California State Universities makes it a wonderful opportunity to receive personalized attention. The English department in particular, and by my own favoritism, is such an amazing program. The professors all challenge their students to grow and to create their own ideal by engaging students through guided discussions. They not only teach, but encourage their... Read More
