College is a great environment to learn and explore in. Students that attend college should take full advantage of the opportunities that are available to them and appreciate the support they receive. College will help prepare them for the workforce and those that utilize as many aspects of college life as they can will find the best career paths outside of college.

CSU East Bay provides an excellent masters program in the field of social work. The curriculum is engaging, and informative. The way the two year program is set up, I am able to maintain my full time job while attending school full time. The professors are approachable, supportive and accommodating. I also absolutely love the diversity of the campus itself. It makes me feel welcome and accepted.

I enjoy the diversity of my program, I do not enjoy the location or the size of the campus although, that is not a factor that is so easily changeable.

I enjoy my Graduate Program. When I speak to other MSW student I find they do not have the support and emphasis on diversity training nor the small class size that I have. The only cons I have found are with my school's financial aid department and difficulties with parking and transportation.

The pros are that the program is diverse and that the cohort size is small. The cons are that the program is at an extension off campus, and thus you do not always feel apart of the campus as a whole.

I have just completed my first year of a two-year Masters of Social Work (MSW) program at California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) this past June. The program is fairly new and the faculty and staff are often adjusting the program's curriculum each quarter. The program still has a good deal of work to do on the overall structure of the program/curriculum, such as finding the balance between having a reasonable amount of challenging coursework while limiting "busy work", becoming better at ensuring... I feel that the pros if the program are that there is good communication amongst faculty and staff. If a student has a questions regarding academics or finances, it is easy to contact a member of the faculty or staff. The program is also very diverse and the students and faculty are supportive of each other. The cons are that information regarding scholarships and grants are not made readily available by the financial aid department. Also certain classes are only offered once per year which can make... It is an excellent program with lots of outside support introduced to the graduates. The professors have practical experience that helps explain the theories.
