Case is a great, and extremely challenging school that really *forces* students to advance to the next level. Those who do not push themselves to their absolute limit will simply fail out, and will be going elsewhere. Getting into the school is a great achievement, and graduating is an infinitely greater one. After graduating, you will be lined up for success like never before (so long as you get a job directly out of college, or especially if you do an internship) and set up to make good money for... Not everyone knows Case Western by name, but the ones that do will respect you immensely for your degree. I've heard it referred to as "The MIT of Ohio" by more than one person. It's an immense challenge that will keep you up for many late nights, but it's worth every minute.

I highly recommend CWRU. It was the perfect choice for me. I had some truly amazing teachers who were not only experts in their fields, but overall, wonderful people who contributed to my success and development. I also enjoyed the location in Cleveland.

CWRU is a good school for a certain type of person who prefers a more small, intimate setting full of people who prioritize their academics. If you are social, you have to join greek life or play a sport to make friends--otherwise, it is tough. You will meet lots of cool people though.

I really enjoyed my experience at Case Western Reserve University. I had access to many resources and I felt very much supported by my professors. There were many programs and opportunities to be involved and I felt my experiences were fulfilling both academically and socially.

My university is considered among elite private institutions, but it radically depends on the degree program. The humanities are mid-tier, but the professors and scholars are accomplished researchers. However, the opportunity to find meaning research opportunities is is readily present.

I loved my time at CWRU. The people I met were kind, interesting, and passionate about the work that they do. I feel like I had so many excellent opportunities at CWRU, and even during COVID-19, I was able to connect with and learn from professors. I wish there was a bit more school spirit, but since I've graduated, I feel that it has increased. I always look back on my college days fondly and am grateful to have been educated at CWRU.

Case Western Reserve University offered a unique insight into the world of private school. Campus grounds are gorgeously maintained and decorated, with various cafes, boutiques, and yoga studios galore. If you are not wealthy or live affluent, it will be difficult to fit in as there were instances I was reminded of my status (e.g. middle class accepted via scholarship). Academic education is great but mentorship can be competitive and unfortunately often biased.

The school itself was decent overall. It had most of the elements you would expect from a good college, including clubs, academic programs, and campus events. The best part of my experience was definitely the people I've met. I met many great friends and fellow students along the way. However, the dormitories and buildings were the worst part in my opinion. Many of them were old and poorly maintained, yet were still very expensive to live in. The dining hall food was also underwhelming and far from... Read More

I attended Case Western Reserve University about 10 years ago, so this may not be a fully up-to-date perspective. There are definitely some clear positives and negatives. On the positive side, the campus is really nice—the library, cafeteria, dorms—everything is comfortable and well-suited for studying. On the downside, as an Asian student, I often felt isolated and lonely. It was hard to form meaningful relationships, and the weather didn’t help—during the winter, you’re basically stuck inside your... Read More

I greatly enjoyed my time at CWRU. While I was originally drawn in by the strong academics, it was the extra curriculars that made Case a home. Particularly, the opportunities that existed to get outside of the campus "bubble" and be part of the greater Cleveland community, including volunteer opportunities, trips to sporting events and cultural institutions, etc. There was something for everyone, and Case made it easy to find your fit

After completing several degrees in online programs I was hesitant to go back to a "traditional" program. However, I was overall thrilled with my educational experience at MSASS at CWRU. The classes were small and had a diverse mix of students with faculty that were generally very invested in the success of their students. I will say, at first I was a bit put off that every one of my instructors was an "adjunct" - however, I quickly realized the value of having working professionals leading the classroom... Read More

Was very excited to join Weatherhead but was fairly disappointed after being here for a while. Way more things are promised than are actually offered. The career service is no help at all. They don’t bring in companies that are targeting Master students so you are pretty much on your own, which can be a very frustrating process. What is also frustrating is that when concerns are raised, nothing about it changes. I personally think I would have gained more knowledge and had a better experience at... Read More

The university is perfect if you want a small-school feeling with a plethora of activities, opportunities for research, and clubs. My personal experience has been extremely positive. The faculty push you beyond your supposed limits and encourage you to participate in a lab or labs of your choice. The classes can be difficult, depending on your major, but there are many ways to get help from (free) tutor centers. Be aware of the steep price.

Case Western Reserve University has a lot of upside given it's assets, personnel and location. As a business student, you will encounter staff with tons of experience. The classes are setup to teach you to engage with others just like you would in the real world. Case like many other institutions is what you make it. Students have much influence over the atmosphere on campus and students have the power to make the campus their own. There is no shortage of opportunities to get involved, help the community...
