Make sure to review the classes you needed to take prior to moving on the state for which you will be moving to get your teaching career. Some states require higher or lower and multiple aptitude testing. Chaminade is a small community but very tight.

This is an extremely rigorous interior design program. The faculty is amazing and caring. The school is very culturally diverse, as is Honolulu. I would recommend this school for any degree. They also have an amazing entrepreneurial program for students.

I live a ten minute drive to the school but still took online classes. The coursework was fun and challenging and often took a lot of time. If you're good at time management and goal setting, you'll find the master's in education program at Chaminade rewarding. If you're a procrastinator, you'll hate it.

Pros: Professors are very knowledgeable and approachable. I really enjoyed my first term! I really like how there is a practicum and internships mandatory for the program. I like the small classes where we can discuss topics in an intimate setting. Cons: A little pricey, but I think it's worth it in the long run.

Chaminade University is an accredited college and offers many amazing graduate programs for my field of study which is education. What appealed the most to me was the convenience of being enrolled in a graduate program where majority of courses are offered online and at my discretion. While I may feel very comfortable working online at times it may have it's downfalls as you don't get the same interaction between peers as you would in a classroom. Nonetheless I am also very pleased with how much student... Read More

For the most part, the only negative aspect of the program is its cost. However, it is understandable being that it is a private institution. With that, I can only provide a review of the quality of program that provides a positive outlook as I have yet to encounter a negative aspect of it. The professors of the MSCJA program at Chaminade University of Honolulu are very knowledgeable about the courses they are responsible for teaching. The content is extremely informative and class discussions are... Read More

The graduate program that I decided to pursue has proven to be a good and smart choice by far. The professors are very knowledgeable in the subjects they teach. They incorporate both textbook and personal information to our discussions, which are not one sided. There is constant teacher-student interaction, which makes the courses not only enjoyable but also informative. As far as cons to the program, I really cannot complain. In addition to courses being offered online, courses are offered in the... Read More

Chaminade is an excellent school with excellent faculty. You will receive quality training in small class sizes. The faculty is kind and highly accessible. The downside is the cost of living and tuition.

Attending a graduate program symbolized many things for me. One was to honor my family since I would be the first to get a masters degree in my entire family. The second was to better myself in learning and in turn become an exemplified counselor who is able to give back to the community. Chaminade University’s graduate program, I felt was the best option for me as their Marianist values were similar to that of my own personal values. In addition, the outstanding references that came from friends... Read More

I really liked the MBA program at Chaminade. The class size at 6-18 was perfect. The classes were at night so it fit my schedule well. I really liked the quarter system however it was intense at times it made me focus more. Professors and Advisors were accessible to you. It also convenient as most classes were in the same building. Lastly, the professors had were veterans in their field locally as well as from the mainland and internationally. Lastly, My classmates were diverse from age to culture... Read More

The pros: Faculty is experienced, supportive, encouraging, and challenges and gives students independence while also expecting quality work of us. Campus is very nice and is located in a prime location. Cons: Workload is compressed into 10 weeks (could also be a pro) Don't really get to know faculty or classmates too well unless extra time is spent in that sort of effort because school terms are shorter.

Chaminade's graduate program in counseling psychology is geared towards helping working adults further education through their night and weekend classes. That was really helpful in giving me an opportunity to earn an income while attending to assist with tuition and living expenses. Parking on campus is also free at that time. Most professors seemed knowledgable and were helpful and readily available along the way. However, I do wish that information about the program and what to expect during internship... Read More

The pros of my graduate program is that it is online to fit my very hectic schedule. The con about being online is that particular professors expect you to be online frequently, and check your log in times for participation and if they notice you don't log in much then they dock points for lack of participation. The reason people take online classes is because thier work/family schedule don't fit with ground classes therefore my understanding to online is suppose to be a fitting to your work schedule.... The great thing about Chaminade that really sets the bar is the quality of education that it provides to all of its students. The professors are highly accessible and supportive to not only each other but to all members of the community. Its great location makes traveling to various parts of downtown easy and assessible.

Though I have not attended Chaminade as a grad student, I have knowledge of the program and faculty since I earned both my associate's and bachelor's from the university. I have heard nothing but good things about the graduate program at Chaminade. The professors that teach the courses are few, so I see this as a great opportunity to form connections that will help students in the future. Having met some of faculty personally, I can say they come from varied and elite backgrounds. The campus and... Read More
