I see many negative reviews related to CSU Global. This is my take. I studied Organizational Leadership: Applied Business Management and graduated with a MS in 2015. I worked hard by focusing over twenty hours each week on my studies. During those hours, I carefully read the assignment, gathered relevant research, and worked tirelessly writing my best work. Sure, the professors in the graduate program took a more passive role, but I did encounter a few that supported my learning by providing constructing feedback. For this I am very grateful. I learned how to gather research, write a great thesis/introduction, well-supported and organized content, and great conclusions. I learned concise and complete communication. Ultimately, I held myself to the highest standard. I believe a person can get a great education from nearly any school. You can pay a lot and have someone else feed information to you, or you can pay a little and do the work yourself. I regret nothing from my CSU Global experience.

Take each review with a grain of salt...everyone is different and has had their own experiences. I just completed my second course, and I would say that the program and school have been "okay". I previously attended community college (brick and mortar), and transferred to a private university (non-profit) for my bachelors in PH. I received an A- in my first class and an A in my most recent course. Do your work, put in effort, and you should receive no less than a B.I have had zero problems with financial aid! The university locks in your tuition so I have never had a price increase. I also received a 10% discount because my employer uses Ed Assist, so please check with your employer to see if they offer a discount! I am saving %150.00 on each course. I will outline what I like and don't like below: Pros: * Professors provide excellent feedback, timely responses, and generally seem well qualified to teach. All of my teachers have their PhD's from prestigious universities. * The CSU Global Library and student center is very helpful! They have templates for you to use if you need help with formatting. *My Advisor is always available when I need her. My Enrollment Advisor was even better! She was so helpful. *There are weekly assignments and you are given 1 week extra to turn in assignments without penalty. *The university is a part of the CSU System which has an exceptional reputation. *The program is quite affordable when compared to other schools. You do not have to pay any "out of state" fees. * Many programs to choose from and I love that there is an abundance of specialty's to also choose from. Cons: *There is no live lecture which I feel should be required. This provides students and staff the opportunity to clarify their understanding, which is how I typically learn. Since the school does not mandate lectures, you basically have to read on your own and figure things out for yourself. It is very much a "home study" program. * You're going to feel like a robot...all classes are essentially the same (discussion, weekly essays, and final portfolio essay) *The school lacks "real world experience" opportunities. Example, my friend attends a local university (brick and mortar) and for her MBA assignment, her school partnered with businesses so that they get "hands on" experience. It would be great if CSU Global could do this for their students, I am sure it would be challenging since students are all over the country, but they should try. It would bring great value! *The school lacks any type of traveling opportunities (at least from what I am aware). Example, my friend at UC Berkeley went to Peru and now the DR for educational purposes. * When scheduling a class, you can't see who the professor will be. I love to utilize rate my professor type websites. This provides me with the opportunity to weed out any professors that I believe are sub-par.

I graduated last year with my MS in Organizational Leadership. The program itself was really well put together and I felt I really learned a lot. I did a specialization in Project Management and those classes were definitely challenging but I think the challenge of the material helped me learn more. Overall my instructors were approachable and nice. I was able to email or call them when I needed help or support. The flexibility of not being required to log in at certain times made a huge difference... Read More for me as a working mom. Overall I have no complaints! As for the other reviews, I thought I should speak to those. Several of these are not actually for CSU-Global Campus but in fact CSU in Ft. Collins. These are separate schools. Especially to the person who posted about his MBA- that is not even a program offered! Maybe that's why he was unhappy with his education, he didn't know which school he was attending!
