Degree: Communications

I loved my time at Concordia! It is a place that sees you as a person with a story and opinions that matter in the classroom. Because it is such a small school, you are able to get to know the faculty and staff that work for Concordia. The classroom environment was always a time of growth, and deep theological discussions. It is a Lutheran campus, but Concordia welcomes varying opinions. I enjoyed that different varieties of chapel were offered each day, but you were never forced to go. Concordia... Read More

Not great. Inflexible professor. Feedback was not heard by professor or director despite many students complaining. Technical problems meant points lost due to issues outside of student control and an impossible weekly meeting place also due to technical problems. As a result all communication had to go through email and professors would not always communicate back within the week. Feedback on assignments given weeks later but by then you have lost points on what you've done wrong over the last few... Read More

Degree: Education Administration

This Hazing program is absolutely bad. All but one instructor was actually reading our papers, but all of them just looking for chances to cut points due to a stupid comma or indentation. The whole program was terrible, many mistakes, some really really nasty educator, no need to mention names, but she is absolutly terrible. I have done so much work for this program because I wanted to learn how to become a principal and all I learned "how much I am a failure because I forgot to indent something,... Read More

Degree: Healthcare Management

Concordia University Irvine obtains a curriculum that challenges the mind while allowing students to explore new interests. Professors offer additional in-class assistance and flexible office hours to ensure the student's academic success. The Healthcare Management Program educated me on the recent trends of Healthcare, how to resolve difficulties and develop new strategies in a Healthcare setting and the value of collaborating with classmates. I recommend this school to those who wish to further... Read More

I joined the program and I was eager to learn to become an administrator. I found myself lost. Starting with no orientation about the use of the portal and I missed on assignment on the first week because I didn't know they existed. Then I found out that there is barely any teaching happening. The assignments that are given on the first two week of the course are just crazy. They ask you to work on assignments as if you have been working as an administrator already for years while you are on the... Read More

Degree: School Counseling

As a single mother going back to school to attain a graduate degree, Concordia University made it easy for me with the flexible hours and the off-campus locations they offer. I am employed full-time so the evening hours were perfect for my schedule as well as the location site of my cohort. The instructors have all been very supportive and available to all of my educational needs. The staff at Concordia has also been helpful in quickly answering all of the complex questions I had. Degree: Teaching

Never having attended an online degree program, I had serious reservation about receiving a graduate level education without a physical classroom and campus. From day, one I have been impressed with the level of communication from the admissions counselors, directors, and the professors. All of the course work and syllabi criteria are thorough and clear. The discussion topics are helpful and the students take them seriously offering quality feedback to papers written or ideas proposed. I would recommend... Read More

Degree: Counseling

My degree program includes excellent instruction and a great personal experience for it being majority online. I can interact with my classmates and professors with ease and feel I have access to their support when needed. If an on campus program isn't an option for you, I highly recommend their online programs.

When I thought about going back to school I thought I needed and wanted to sit in class to get the full absorption of curriculum and support from the instructor, but I quickly found out my life didn't support attending classes and that Concordia Univ. had a degree program that was perfect for me. I returned back to school as a full-time kindergarten teacher and single mother of a 2 year old and 6 month old; needless to say I needed a degree program I could achieve my goals from home. Concordia has... Read More

Degree: Business

The professors that I have had thus far, have been very helpful in my pursuing this degree. The have been helpful in making sure that I understand the assignments (especially since I am an online student), and they always get back to me in a timely manner. The interaction with the other students is somewhat limited, because of the online nature of the class. It is an excellent program, you will definitely grow in your professional and personal lives.

The Masters of coaching and athletic administration degree option allows individuals to pursue a higher degree while still working. You have the option to take courses solely online or hybrid and the thesis has a related course every semester to help you not get behind.

Pros: The MBA program is flexible enough that I can balance family life, working full-time and going to school. The class size is small which enables everyone in the class to participate. The faculty brings their experience in their respected fields into the classroom. I can tailor my degree to my specific focus, in my case entrepreneurship. The courses are fast paced but well worth the time. Cons: None

I appreciate having the ability to continue working and care for my family while pursuing my dreams. The faculty are absolutely great. They understand that there is a life outside of the program that doesn't always go smoothly. I really can't speak on behalf of the campus because I have yet to visit it. I do hope to have the time and money to take at least one course on campus. The only con I see is career support. While all the courses are practical and relevant, there is no support to actually... The categories in ranges 9-13 were a little low mainly because of the campuses isolation from any metropolitan life and it's Christian based beliefs hinder the social aspects of persons who tend to enjoy a more vigorous social life. The main pros are the access to features worldwide that the program allows for you network and branch out in ways you normally wouldn't get from your typical university.

As an International MBA student I was expected to receive more support from the school to find job and internship but they are were not helpful. They should have more events like career fair and guest speakers and other programs for graduate students. there is not enough resources for grad students. The campus is beautiful and professors are good. overall the quality of education is good.
