Cornell is a place of rich history. People come together from all walks of life and gather in one common purpose:to learn. While some of the classes can be challenging they are incredibly rewarding. Every day presents new challenges and be able to work together to in groups is key.

Cornell was a great school to attend for me. I majored in Animal Science but had a focus within dairy cattle management and agricultural business. The way the schools within the university work together helped me to gain experience in areas I never would have had the opportunity to experience elsewhere. While the college of agriculture and life sciences was where most of my major courses were, I was able to take courses within the business school and arts school and even some classes that were considered... I loved my time at Cornell and look back on it very fondly. I had an excellent, well-rounded experience, including academics, social life, and extracurriculars. From living in the dorms as a freshman to living with friends in College-Town as an upperclassman, I have great memories of all living arrangements. Classes and professors were top tier, as expected. A degree here helped open me up to opportunities I don’t think I would have had otherwise.

Great school for the variety and expertise in many subjects. Requirements ensure students engage in a range of topics, which can be frustrating if you know EXACTLY what you want to be studying, but I would argue that that makes more well rounded students. Gorgeous setting to go to school in. Though sometimes can be isolating.

The quality of education as well as the job opportunities upon graduation were amazing. Courses were challenging yet realistic and applicable to real life work. Campus was beautiful, safe but a bit too far from big cities. Up until now, a MBA from Cornell is still widely recognized by employers whenever I recruit.

I had a wonderful time at Cornell University. The schoolwork was consistently challenging and thoroughly prepared me now for my career as a data scientist. I loved the flexibility to explore other subjects and picked up two minors along the way. The campus community is also exceptionally vibrant and full of incredible people!

I enjoyed my time at Cornell so much. The campus environment really allows students to feel like they are at home and be a part of the community. The student body is friendly and can rely on each other, and the academic opportunities are endless. People are involved and passionate

As a liberal arts alum, my experience at Cornell University was incredibly rewarding. The academic environment was both challenging and supportive, with professors who genuinely cared about student learning and intellectual growth. One of the things I appreciated most was the huge range of course offerings, which made it easy to explore different interests while still focusing on my major. The student body was diverse, motivated, and collaborative, creating an atmosphere where it felt normal to be... Read More

Cornell's prestige was the deciding factor of getting my first job, which then propelled me for my future. The academics on campus were fantastic - both the resources and the influence of my fellow students. I personally did not have the best experience just because of depression and weather (it is quite remote and cold most of the year).

I had a great time at the school. It was a high pressure environment but it was worth it for the job opportunities that I was able to get afterwards. The relationships I made at school were priceless and the beautiful campus made every day really enjoyable.

Cornell was a place that truly taught me academic rigor. Cornellians are held to a higher standard, and it felt stressful when I was worried I wouldn’t reach the benchmarks I set for myself. I don’t regret any of my time there, but I do wish I took more time to embrace the school beyond its classes.

I know Cornell gets a bad reputation for the stress levels, but I found that my anxiety level decreased from high school to college. I felt supported by the Cornell community, including my professors, TAs, and peers. I found I could balance academics with a social life and loved my time at school. While it could get stressful at times, everyone was understanding and the challenges made the work feel much more rewarding.

My undergraduate experience as an Animal Science major at Cornell University was incredibly rewarding and intellectually challenging. The program blended rigorous science-based coursework with invaluable hands-on learning, from time spent in the teaching barns to research opportunities with passionate faculty. The small-program feel within a large university created a strong sense of community, and I always felt supported by advisors who genuinely cared about my goals. Cornell pushed me to think... I'm a student at Cornell University's Nolan School of Hotel Administration and attending this program has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life so far! Cornell University is a prestigious Ivy League that definitely earns its reputation. The two years I spent at Cornell were jam-packed because I had to fulfill my graduation requirements and work multiple jobs to keep me afloat. Because of my crammed schedule, my undergraduate experience was difficult. When I look back and think of how it would have been if I decided to focus solely on my studies, I think it would have been much different. This is not to say however, that Cornell is not a hard institution.... Read More

Cornell was a very special place to spend four years. Its "any person, any study" motto can sound unsophisticated when compared to its peers, but it really gets to the heart of what makes the institution unique. Women and minorities have always been welcomed at the school, and its broad curriculum means you will have the opportunity to learn not just in the classroom but also through a class that represents all forms of diversity. After all this is the land of Carl Sagan, Vladimir Nabokov, Richard... Read More

The campus is beautiful and there are many resources to help you be a successful student. Academics can be quite challenging, but the course load and work prepares you for a successful future. Professors are invested in the courses they teach, and provide substantive materials to help their students succeed. Office hours are very helpful to boost your grades. Would highly recommend visiting campus before applying - getting to class can be a workout in itself!
