If you're looking for a small, intimate community of students that you will be able to get to know, spend time with, and grow throughout the four years with, Felician University is a great place. If you are not looking for a small school where you will get to know most of the students, at least by face, then maybe another school with a bigger campus will be best for you. Also, because the school is Catholic, there are certain things required of each student, for example, certain Religious Studies courses that one must take before graduating.

I did a non-traditional path Felician taking classes at my local community college and online. For the most part I found the material engaging but not too difficult. I found most of my professors to be very responsive, and only had a few minor issues with the timeliness of returned grades but this has nothing to do with the schools, just different personality types. I recently finished my first semester at Felician College for my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I was apprehensive at first but after attending orientation and being informed of all the wonderful opportunities Felician has to offer, I became wildly optimistic and excited. Felician college prepares students to become licensed mental health professionals, specifically in counseling psychology. When rating this program I gave higher marks because the professors are beyond exceptional and the school makes it very easy for students to apply for the program and for financial aide. Each professor makes themselves available during class, after class, and for office hours. I could not rate the affordability of living because I am not living on campus. My highest ratings are the categories of career support, education quality, faculty accessibility and support, and the graduate program value. I feel very safe on campus and driving through the surrounding area. The program is 60 credits and conforms to the licensing expectations of the New Jersey Professional Counselor Licensing Law. It has recently earned accreditation by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council.
