It was a good experience. My professors were great and I had a lot of very valuable experiences that helped me when it came to transitioning from school life to the workforce. I passed my NCLEX on the first try and am currently working as a registered nurse.

Florida Southern College will always hold a special place in my heart. My experience there as a student was incredibly positive from start to finish. The campus is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, which made it such an inspiring place to learn and grow. The smaller class sizes allowed me to truly connect with my professors, and I always felt seen, supported, and encouraged to reach my full potential.
What stood out most to me was the strong sense of community. It never felt overwhelming — it felt... Read More

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Florida Southern College. The institution provided a very warm, inviting environment, whereby learning was exciting and fun. The student-to-teacher ratio was small enough, so that we received individualized attention, when necessary. The camaraderie was great, and by graduation, I felt that I had gained more family members than friends. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would recommend this institution to anyone seeking the feel of a small university... Read More

Great small, close-knit campus. Campus is beautiful and attractive. There is plenty of student involvement, although most of the focus is on athletics and Greek life. Not too far from cities such as Tampa or Orlando. Plenty of resources to discover .

Florida Southern was a good school overall. The professors really care about you and the classroom size is small enough for you to get one-on-one attention. The Junior Journey travel experience and guaranteed internship were both really important to my college experience, and I was able to begin my career after graduation with my internship provider. I commuted for four years, but by almost all of my peers hated living on campus because of the party environment and poor maintenance. Also, the school... Read More

Florida Southern is a nice small college in a cute little town. I enjoyed having plenty of one on one time with my professors and felt like most of them really cared about having their students learn the material. The dorm rooms after the first year were kind of cramped, however, and there were several times within the year that someone would be playing music obnoxiously loud at midnight during the week. I think I probably could have received just as good of an education elsewhere, with less student... Read More

I loved my education and time at Florida Southern, but in the professional world, I feel I was left struggling. I went to FSC for the small school environment, but I now feel that I fell through the cracks and became unnoticed. I was moderately active at school and in talking to my teachers, but when it came to my internship, I was set up with a poor match. When it came to support from my school for finding a job, I did the work at the Career Center, but was never paired up with any jobs.

The pros of the graduate program are flexibility of schedule (weekdays or Saturday), faculty are easily accessible, and the students are in the same cohort throughout the program. In my opinion, there really are no cons for the program.
