I graduated a year ago.The school tells you that all of your classes are in person and after living on campus for four years the senior year is a waste of time because your learning is ALL online.Iona tells you that they can get you internships in nyc in your senior year This school is HORRIBLE . I had a 3.9 gpa over my four years of Iona schooling.my first two years was nothing more then I learned in a private high s hood that I attended. I spoke with 5 of my professors about getting internships... Read More

Unfortunately, didn’t complete at Iona. The teachers don’t care Administration doesn’t care and there’s no help if you’re struggling. The food sucks gave me intestinal issues. They will group you with the wrong roommates and push you out of dorming if you’re not a “A/B student or a athlete. Drugs are everywhere. Wasted my money. They were great at marketing prior to acceptance and will offer you small Merritt scholarship to suck you in.

Attending Iona College is one of the worst decisions I have made in my life. I know that may sound dramatic but here are some of the reason. While at Iona you will pay way too much to attend. Have little to do in terms of on campus fun or off campus there are only two bars in the area. Some of the professors there are great. But most don't care and will mumble through 45 min to get through the class. If you fall behind or need help, you will not find any academic support either. The athletics dept... Read More

Iona is a joke. Few professors actually care. Didn't prepare me for a thing. Finance office is just rude. If you live there you count....if not God help you. Athletes get away with everything because they are sports people. Hungover people everywhere but the school pretends not to see it. Drugs....everywhere. If you are a commuter, make sure you park in a different space in the garage every day because they do not like it if you park in the same one every day or close to it. Marked up my tires because... Degree: Marriage & Family Therapy

I recommend Iona College to any graduate commuter student looking for a intimate atmosphere to earn a degree. The campus is small, quaint and beautiful. The class sizes are small for most majors, and specifically in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. If one wants to get engaged in sports activities at the school, there is alot of spirit and student engagement. But, it is just as easy to go to class and go home if you feel so inclined. My main complaint about the school is that there is not... Read More

Degree: Marriage & Family Therapy

The marriage and family therapy program at Iona College is one of four AAMFT accredited programs in New York State. This, and the fact that it was close to my job and home at the time, were was a major factors in my choice to attend this institution. The program is three years and more costly than some programs because it is offered at a private institution. In addition to attending and passing all classes, student are required to earn 500 direct contact hours with clients to graduate. Half of those... Read More

I am a 1st year student and I have high expectations of this campus based on former graduates and reviews. I live in the town the school is located and I have mixed reviews about the students however, now that I am attending I find this school to be very rewarding. They offer so much, and given its reputation, Id expect nothing less, but as a graduate student you have to really review and find things out for yourself. There is little information offered unless you request but what do you know when... Read More

Iona College provided the best of both worlds, while having the proper personnel to make excelling in Finance a lot easier then most colleges. Having access to be able to go to the Financial District with little issues, while having a great campus where I can go and learn face to face with teachers, making learning enjoyable and easier to retain. The professors are all well established and well recognized in the finance world, providing great advice, mentor-ship, and resources to make networking... Read More

Lives up to its name. A beautiful, clean campus with rich history. It's a small school but offers a large number of programs and excellent facilities. The faculty is top notch and very friendly. I made life long friends and thoroughly enjoyed my time at Iona. I would definitely recomend it to any student considering going enrolling at Iona college.

My favorite part of attending Iona College is the close connection that teachers and students are able to make. Because Iona is small in size it allows class time to be productive and for teachers to provide thorough instruction and lessons. Every professor I have come across at my school is highly successful and their positive and influential attitudes spread throughout campus. Iona College provides a wonderful education as well as a boost of confidence and courage for their students' future.

The pro to being in my graduate program is that I have been able to speak with the professors and use their many years of experience to further my academic and professional career. The con to being in the graduate program is that some students should have gotten work experience before entering an MBA program.

As an undergraduate alumni of Iona College, the school name is what kept me standing here. With such a good reputation for itself, I know that obtaining a masters degree from here will only push me one step closer to my career goals.

The school was a great fit, but I don't think a small school is necessarily the best fit for every student. I loved it, but if I had to go back again I would study abroad. I have varied interests, so I might have double majored. Take advantage of everything that you can while you're in school. Colleges have tons of resources for students--everything from social programs to discounts/free arts & cultural opportunities to career help. Do as much as you can! Take the time to have fun!
