I attended Kennesaw State for five years. Other than the random fees I had to pay, I did enjoy my time there. I made lots of friends and really enjoyed most of my classes. Some of my professors leaned more toward discussion based classes, but I actually did enjoy that because it felt more engaging. I also enjoyed being 30 minutes away from home.

KSU is more worries about expanding their enrollment number than anything else. They cannot keep professors, advisors, etc. Classes are difficult to get, full, or only offered online in +200 student classes. And there is a lack of the real college experience feel :( But that was just my experience.

Kennesaw State University was what I would call an above average school, not particularly famous outside of its business schools but still had everything I wanted. It had a supportive campus community where I always felt I had someone to turn to. The professors were mixed, but got the job done. It was clean and kept up, with modern looking buildings and I never felt like I was going to somewhere that was on the lower end of colleges. I enjoyed the food court and the buildings were pretty close together,... Read More

Kennesaw State University played a defining role in shaping both my personal growth and professional direction. During my time at Kennesaw State University, I gained not just technical knowledge but also the discipline, confidence, and problem solving mindset needed to succeed in engineering. The program challenged me to think critically, work collaboratively, and apply theory to real world situations, which significantly sharpened my career readiness.
One of the most impactful aspects of my experience... Read More

Kennesaw State University (KSU) is a great state level college for the local community and abroad for those seeking affordable higher education at a great quality and value. Their Humanities and social sciences department are full of professional, knowledgeable faculty with a wide breadth of experiences. The college also focuses on networking and job placement and other opportunities during academia and post graduation, benefiting those who are looking for in-state employment.

For the most part, your experience is what you make of it, but I do wish that the Comms program was more applied - so much of what I do as a professional in the last ten years has been learned on the job. To be fair, the program did change after I graduated, so it may be different now! But as a Media Studies student who now works in marketing, there is so much that I felt that I didn't know and was underprepared for when stepping into the workforce.

I absolutely love KSU! It is a great school for busy professionals looking to advance their career while also working towards their degree. I was working full time while attending KSU part time. I was apart of the Sociology program with a minor in Criminology. It is an excellent school. However, if you are a freshman looking for a full college experience with parties, social groups, and memories to come, I do not suggest this college. UGA, GA state, or Georgia Southern are much better choices.

Great school and has a lot of new dorms and amenities for the students. It is a very good place to get your education and a great place to find yourself. You can always find friends and find groups and activities to do in your spare time to make you feel less lonely.

KSU is a great school that's in a good location. I genuinely felt cared for by my professors. I enjoyed the on-campus activities. However, I fear that it could transition into a college that cares more about money than quality of life for the students. Every year, parking got worse and worse. It got harder to get classes. I just caution KSU to not fall into the money trap.

I struggled hard to get into Cole's college. Once in I thought my life would start getting better in terms of figuring out how I was going to survive after graduating but it was a horrible state of affairs. The career services did nothing to help me with getting a job (or even an internship throughout all 4 years of school) other than giving me the basic resume advice. They treat you like a number more than an actual person that wants a career and 7 months after graduating I have yet to land ANY... Read More

The Computer science department at KSU is awful. They have GTAs teaching courses but legally can't list them as the instructor so you have some mystery professor that is never involved with your class. You're taught by GTAs that are rarely understandable and less than helpful when you run into issues. How they expect students with their own course work to be able to be dedicated to an entire class is beyond me. I've had GTAs before but they are literally that... teaching ASSISTANTS. Not the main... Read More

To offer a counterpoint to the 2 reviews here about a poor application/enrollment experience, I applied online and had multiple transcripts sent to (and received by) KSU with no problem, and I was able to track everything easily through KSU's online "Application Status Check" tool in what they call "OWL Express." So far everything about: getting my new-student requirements completed; seeing how my transfer credits were applied; registering for my first semester of classes; meeting with an academic... This is not a good school. They are more worried about farming new students than they are about helping them finish their degree programs or find jobs using said education. I recently graduated, but this school does nothing to really help students before or after graduation with finding a career. They just have a partnership with handshake that lists jobs you would see anyway if you were looking at online job listings. The handshake program is not useful or helpful and it is filled with spam and... Read More

The Education program is excellent. However as far as the financial aid, I always have trouble talking to people and they have been very rude to me when I have questions regarding financial aid. I have been interrupted while trying to speak, spoken to in a condescending tone, and I got transferred back and forth between offices before getting a clear answer to my question. I’m just a student trying to figure out financial aid, but the offices are rude and lazy.

If you are looking at this University to complete an online course of study; I highly recommend you DO NOT register. I TRIED registering online, NEVER went to class did not have confirmation from KSU that I was even enrolled to start class and they charged me $2,000 and now it is on my credit report. I NEVER even got started in their course. LEASE BE CAREFUL when enrolling, make sure you are excepted, they charge you anyway!!! Kennesaw is a theory school, nothing more. They'll teach you all about the things you'd need to know to help write your professor's research article, but that's as far as they're concerned. They put more emphasis on research papers and standardized tests than practical training in any capacity. Their policies for enrollment and graduation are convoluted to the point of hilarity, until they block you from graduating because you didn't properly fill out a form. The campus is also huge, and parking... Read More

I found the classes that were required to be interesting and stimulating. Unlike the traditional student, I worked forty hours a week and took the maximum credit hours available so I did not have time for extracurriculars outside of class so I cannot give an opinion on what is offered to the students over at Kennesaw State. Overall my majority of my professors were supportive and some provided my letters of recommendation to get into a Grad program. Classes are larger but seats do fill up rather... Read More

Kennesaw State was an excellent school with great facilities. The class sizes were a lot smaller than those of the bigger state schools, so I really felt like my voice was heard by professors. I studied exercise science and we had some of the newest technology across the country. Also our teachers were really dedicated to finding the newest and most accurate information for the students. They attended a big exercise science conference every year to get the newest info and even encouraged students... Read More
