Degree: Chemistry

I attended Lander and I majored in Chemistry. Although my experience was not Ideal it was not completely horrible either. The lack of student life really made it hard to find people to actually meet. I did enjoy the small classroom sizes it made it easier to learn. Greenwood as a side really lacks a lot of things to do as well. Overall I would rate it a 3/5

Degree: Healthcare Management

Lander is a small campus (only about 4000 students), I think this makes great for freshmen and sophomores who are looking to complete their gen eds and make that transition from high school to college. I didn't just feel like I was a number here as I was able to form connections with my professors and other staff. They have a great nursing program that works with the local hospital, and I'm sure their other STEM majors are great too. Their business college could do better in making sure the work... Read More

Degree: Psychology

I attended Lander University as an incoming junior. I had just recently graduated from a small two year school called Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, SC. When I was looking at other schools to transfer to, I thought about my SMC experience and how I felt it was so important that I received the same opportunity and family oriented environment that I did from my SMC. I couldn't tell you how exactly I found Lander, but when I toured the school I immediately felt the family environment... Read More

Degree: Psychology

The education that I received from Lander University prepared me for the world of work. As a psychology major, I was able to use what I learned to help me to better interact with others. In addition, I was able to apply what I learned in the classroom directly to my job.

Degree: Business Administration

I was given the opportunity to attend Lander University as a Business Administration major with an emphasis on Healthcare Management. Lander gave me a small environment where I can have personal relationships with my professors as well as always creating ways to network with local businesses and make internship opportunities. It was safe with security, giving the experience of Greek life, diversity in the student population and my program was nationally accredited educational. It helped created me... Read More

Degree: Music

It wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst. My professors were great but I thought the culture of the school wasn't as encouraging as I would have liked (everyone seemed content to slack off and there wasn't an atmosphere of encouraging students to aim higher except for a few exceptions). It seemed like there was more focus on the rules and just getting the degree than being excellent, except for my major classes.

Degree: Education

Lander University has a fantastic education program for undergraduate and graduate students. Some of my best teachers were Lander alumni. I am just beginning my degree program, but from my first term, Lander offers a rich, informative, and challenging curriculum.
