Marist University is a wonderful school to attend. Marist has a great reputation in my community, and a degree from there carries impressive prestige. All of my professors at Marist have been incredible, knowledgeable, and are experts in the field of Public Administration, with significant experience in the public sector that makes lessons apply immediately to real world applications. The quality of my academic experience at Marist has been amazing.

The guest professors are spectacular and are the only people who helped me learn during this program. The two who run the program have no desire to understand student struggles. When requesting scheduling understanding during COVID, it was recommended that I quit my job instead. It's clear that the head of this program is an academic, not a practitioner. I learned next to nothing from his ridiculous and unnecessary requirements. Not to mention, Marist chose to stay open despite numerous COVID cases... Read More

Some schools struggle to create rigorous online programming, but not Marist. I loved that Marist's graduate degrees are available fully online, but still make me feel like I'm learning all the time. My professors are always available to discuss my work and offer assistance on the material. The Business Analytics Certificate is already helping me improve my career and increase my marketability.

I double majored with Spanish and Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Overall, I would have to say my experience at Marist was amazing! I loved every second of both my degree programs. To start the communications degree was both challenging, but fun. The professors at the time were all awesome. I found that I could come to a number of them for any reason and they would be there to help me out. It helped that Marist had small classes. Therefore, most professor knew all of their... Read More

Marist College is a beautiful college along the banks of the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, New York. I was honored to have been accepted and attending for four wonderful years. As a student athlete, I was able to enjoy learning and competition. My undergraduate degree is in a discipline different to my field of work. However, the degree is supported by some of the best facility that truly cares about it's students. The academic challenges are real and support by the facility and facilities for higher... Read More

The education I received while attending Marist College was diverse, comprehensive, and individualized. The small class sizes allow professors to tend to different learning styles while still covering a broad range of information, and they make it easier to connect with fellow students.

I had a really positive time at Marist as an undergraduate student. I was able to participate in a lot of different clubs and community service initiatives, as well as mix with many different groups of friends. My professors were always willing to meet after hours to go over anything I needed, and really took the time to help you understand their subjects. The school is constantly improving and making better and more beautiful places to live and learn,

It is an important part of life. It helps someone learn responsibility as most times students are on their own to handle taking classes, getting up on time, working, and managing a budget. It should be taken seriously but also with a sense of fun and enjoyment too.

Undergraduate degrees do not always land you in the field you will spend your life in. While I did not know that at the time (who is just a professional Philosopher these days), the professors were amazing in challenging me and giving me skills that would apply in any field I would work in. I am now a teacher and I try to instill critical thinking to all of my students. The program was informative and taught me to analyze the world around me. After graduating, I was still able to go onto campus and... Read More

The mathematics department is small compared to others in the school. I had the opportunity to get to know my professors and still keep in touch. Take advantage of their expertise--do an independent study and take extra classes. Very helpful when applying to grad school and looking for jobs.

Overall, Marist College was the best choice of colleges for me. Nestled within two hours of New York City and the capital city of Albany, Marist was in a perfect location. Marist is a very small community of about 4,000 undergraduate students, so your professors will know who you are. There are no lecture halls on campus, so the class sizes are relatively small, which was great because you fully get to interact with other students and your professor. The Marist Criminal Justice program was rated... Read More

Marist College provided a small-feel college experience with top-notch professors in the field of history and education. In comparison to SUNY and CUNY schools (where I completed my masters and post-masters), Marist treated me as an individual rather than a number. I was always provided with career guidance and supports and teachers adhered to their office hours and were more than supportive along the way. Navigating the entire college experience was incredibly easy and effective and I found Marist... Read More

Marist College offered me the perfect program to continue my education. The MPA program allowed me to learn at a pace that is great for working people, parents and individuals that have very busy lifestyles. The program is a Hybrid program. The professors are wonderful and through. The work was challenging for me because I have a busy life but overall I was able to keep up.

Marist is a relatively small college that does not offer a ton of diversity. The school has a beautiful campus, although small, right along the Hudson River. While I felt it wasn't the right college for me socially, the English department was very small which allowed me to have a lot of face time and guidance from my professors, which I appreciated.
