Degree: Early Childhood Education

The pros are the effectiveness of the teacher-student involvement and help they have to offer. Teachers are frequently available when help is needed. Academic work is challenging yet explained and walked through by the professor. The cons are unprepared material on the New York State exams. Teachers are unsure of the material provided on the exams therefore cannot prepare the students to take and pass them.

As a student of the Graduate School of Education's Online Program, I have found that the teachers for the most part, are very willing to help you out, assist with any difficulties one might have and work with you to make sure you are learning the necessary things for your degree. The faculty are very supportive and possess current and pertinent knowledge in the education field. Each class solidified the necessary information needed to operate as an educator, which caused me to feel highly satisfied with my decision to attend Mercy College.

I love that my campus is easily accessible and the quality of educators that are teaching the courses. The biggest issue I have with Mercy College is the lack of proper deans of education on the Manhattan campus. There are times that I have questions but there is no one that I can meet with face to face.
