Miami is such a wonderful place to be. Campus is incredibly beautiful, the social environment is a blast, and the education is top notch. Professors ate knowledgeable and genuinely care about their students. I am now obtaining a PhD in Clinical Psychology, in a program that has lower acceptance rates than going to medical school, and I am confident my education at Miami set me up for the occupational and academic achievements needed to pursue post-grad education and succeed. Love and honor!

I had a good time attending Miami University. My favorite part about going there was the campus itself. I liked the size, the brick, and the seasons. It's a very pretty campus, and it felt good walking to classes. The academics were good too. They have professors who are qualified and care about your success. It's a great college, but it runs like a business, just like most colleges in the US. That's not a flaw with Miami, but with the system itself. I'd still recommend it, though.

I loved my student experience at Miami, there were tons of extracurriculars and ways to get involved on campus. I did have a problem with the academic situation, as it was very unbalanced. Programs like business had massive budgets and hundreds of staff to support students, while other programs had classrooms scattered over campus in random spare rooms. The professors I had were wonderful, but they were few. Often the curriculum would change between years, so students who took the same course in... Read More

I really enjoyed attending Miami. First off it is a really beautiful campus especially in the summer and the spring which is what drew me to it. But what I really loved about it is I don't think I had one bad professor there all of them seemed to genuinely love teaching and were always free for office hours even when I had relatively inane questions. They were also always very accommodating when you had to miss class for being sick or family event and I think that is reflective of the overall vibe... Read More

Miami is a fantastic place for the right student. Being social is essentially a must with the school being in the middle of nowhere and there being limited things to do at times of the year. There is a stereotype about the student body, and it's mostly true; just accept it.

As a first generation college student Miami University was one of the best decisions I have made when it came to choosing a college. It has affordability, diversity, and community. Having the opportunity to take classes at one of their regional campuses made it possible for me to be able to afford going to the main campus for my degree. I was able to save ample amount of money. The campus itself is beautiful especially in the fall. The classes are medium sized which I appreciated as it gave me the... Read More

Miami was a wonderful experience. I met my friends and really defined my future being there. I was able to network, learn and grow as a person during my time. If anything, I look back and wish I could be there now. Some of my happiest moments were while attending Miami

I think the brand name of Miami holds a lot of weight in the state of Ohio and particularly in Cincinnati where I live. People generally assume competence just from the mere fact that I tell them I went there. That is huge in the corporate world. People opinion's of you raises and relatively you have to do more to knock yourself down a peg from there. Miami was fun and provided great academics. Oxford is very much a college town but has a great atmosphere. The campus is beautiful and with a strong... Read More

Miami provided great class sizes and some professors who care, a beautiful campus, and wonderful opportunities to socialize. They allowed me to graduate with almost 0 student debt.
On the other side of the coin, they keep professors with horrible reviews purely from tenure, and there is no way to get out of taking classes from them. I’ve seen others use skills they learned in a class with another professor, while I was forced to take a professor with below a 2 star rating on rate my professor. They... Read More
While there are good and bad things about this institution, I do not see myself donating money down the line because of the lack of resources to land a job if you’re not a finance or Econ major.

What a beautiful campus, from the green spaces to the old red bricks, it really feels like one of the classic places that will stand the test of time. There were a couple speed bumps here and there with professors but I think you will have that anywhere. It was 4 good years that I believe gave me the confidence and knowledge to pursue my goals.

Miami University has always been, and always will be, the pinnacle of the American University experience. The campus is nothing short of breathtaking; the academics are truly top notch; the athletics are...good enough; I would choose Miami again and again and again. Every class I took in four years was taught by a qualified professional who seemed to truly enjoy teaching. I got my first teaching job one day before graduation and I know it was because they saw Miami University on my resume. Love and... Read More

Miami University of Ohio has an incredible breadth and depth of faculty, especially within the esteemed Farmer School of Business. The combination of academic knowledge and real-world expertise lends more than just a classroom education to students. The placement and support programs for graduates are exceptional. The surrounding environment of beautiful Oxford Ohio creates a quintessential college experience in a relatively safe surrounding. The extracurriculars, especially greek life, prepare students... Miami was a great experience for me! I found the classes challenging and I still think about some of my professors to this day. I'm not the typical Miami student (i.e. into Greek life, from a wealthy family, etc.), but I was able to find a great group of friends through Red Hawk Radio and my Mass Communication program. Bonus: the campus is beautiful and the food is good.

Miami University of Oxford, Ohio is the perfect institution to receive a private school education for a public institution price. The location in Oxford is perfect for anyone looking to go to college in the heart of a college town over an urban campus. Walking to class on such a historic campus, students walk on streets that still have cobble stone and take classes in buildings from 1809. The faculty and administration are equally knowledgeable, supportive, and empowering, especially in the psychology... Read More

Miami University is a great school and they are really passionate about being there to help their students with their goals. However, one thing I will mention is how different the minority experience is compared to non-minority person experience. Being a Black student at Miami, it was hard at first getting used to attending a prominently white institution. I was usually always the only person of color in my class and that made me feel very uncomfortable at times. I felt as though it took me longer... Read More

I absolutely loved my time at Miami. For starters, it is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. The red brick and green space make it picture perfect year round. My degree programs were each rigorous. Management and Leadership is a quality program. I gained a lot of knowledge and skills in management, but I also gained invaluable experiences. I could not have selected a better undergraduate institution than Miami University. The campus is gorgeous and has a close-knit feel to it. The educational opportunities that were afforded to me were invaluable. One of the factors that sets Miami apart is the opportunity to participate in research as an undergraduate. I was extremely disappointed with Miami and will be transferring next year. There are some people who seem to like it, especially those on the sports teams. However, if a small, conservative town doesn't sound exciting to you, I would highly recommend considering another college. Miami is absolutely a party school, and for most weekends consist of only frat parties and then going to Brick or another local bar. There's just simply nothing else to do. There are a couple restaurants uptown, and a small... Read More

I had a very good experience with the professors in my degree program. They were available to respond to my needs during office hours, provided individualized feedback on my work and were clearly interested and engaged in the topics they were teaching. Class sizes in my major were small, allowing students to engage in thoughtful and meaningful discussion with the professors. My study abroad opportunity was formative for me.

Miami University is a top-notch undergraduate institution that will not only prepare you for your career, but also your future. The student experience is unlike any other that I have seen or heard about. When I went into Miami, I was half of the person I was today. Lots of schools advertise student involvement, but Miami means it.
