Avoid this place , there are many places with the same budget that are just better schools. This place focused on being a business way harder than being a school. If you try to transfer credits they will do everything in their power to have it not transfer so you can pay them. If you get a acceptance from another school and threaten to leave they will offer more credits to transfer. Its a game to them. I am sure the operation will shutdown soon. Too bad for the town which depends on university students... Read More

I enjoyed the small school atmosphere and the tuition was comparatively cheap.

Overall, Montana Tech is a great institution. I received my Associate's and Bachelor's degree there and recently returned to graduate school to work on a Master's. The faculty and staff are generally helpful, and most would go the extra mile for you.

It was a small school around 2000 students. The teachers were very personable. There wasn't as many activities going around campus as I would like

Good people. Great education for a comparatively small price and very helpful professors! Mainly an engineering school with challenging, but doable classes. Lots of activities/clubs to get involved with.

This is a small science and engineering school with a low student to teacher ratio. Because of the small student population, there are many opportunities to have one-on-one time with the professors. The teaching is practical and applicable to the industries represented. The job placement upon graduation is 98%. Internships are readily available. Scholarships are readily available.

The graduate programs at Montana Tech greatly enhance the students ability to manage projects and complete tasks assigned. The opportunity to assist in teaching and supervisory roles is outstanding. The graduate programs really embrace responsibility as an individual and also amongst colleagues to provide the student with a great sense of pride and fulfillment while completing assignments.

Having the entire program on line allowed me to continue to work full time. The program made many attempts to also provide opportunities on campus and encouraged networking amongst students.

Pro-The Mining Engineering program is one of the best in the US. The school, faculty members and students are awesome. It is a good environment for healthy and successful study. Con- Butte is a small city and the weather is very hard specially for someone not used to the cold. No big stores except Walmart. No African store in the area.

The graduate program at Montana Tech offers the student a great atmosphere to expand their academic and real-world knowledge. This is done with great faculty and availability of top notch equipment. The detraction of the University is class availability, it would be nice to have more course offerings.

My experience at Tech was great. Our program was relatively small, which resulted in a lot of one-on-one time with professors and more focused studies.

I'm one of the few professionals with a Bachelor of SCIENCE in Liberal Studies. I originally aimed at a Computer Science degree from one of the top Engineering schools in MT, but I found the Liberal Studies department to be surprisingly rich and more to my interests. I received a healthy dose of math and science (most Liberal Arts graduates can't boast Calc III and multiple semesters of Physics on their transcripts). Overall, I'd say I received the most liberal education because of my blend of engineering... Read More
