Rider University was my home away fron home. I was a transfer student; this was my second time transferring to a new school, and I am greatful for the experience. The class sizes are small, and the professors knew all of our names. I had the same professor more than once, and I liked that they remembered who you were. You weren't just a number or name on a part like the larger universities. The sorority/fraternity life was small enough that it didnt cause chaos, but it had enough of a presence that... Read More

I am biased because I met my spouse at Rider but I overall enjoyed my experience. It was affordable for me and I was able to graduate without loans. I did not end up pursuing a career in my field of study but I feel like I am a more well rounded citizen because of my education. My professors were all very well educated and great teachers

This schools sucks all they do is ask for money. The employees who work at public safety don’t do their jobs and give tickets when they feel like it(even u pay for it they don’t give a single warning). They are disgusting people. Also as for food it all sucks it tastes worse than prison food which what i assume would taste like. l

Overall, my experience was useful and encouraged me to pursue higher education. I found four mentors that were able to give me the tools I needed to apply to graduate school and have the confidence in being able to contribute to the psychology field. I think the school could be more diverse and advocate for diversity and inclusion of minority students, not just by an organization but as a whole. I also think that there should be stricter policies in place to be able to fund programs like the language... Read More

Rider University goes above and beyond to assist their prospective and enrolled students in all aspects of college life. As a student of non-traditional age, returning to school was an intimidating task. Rider excels at making non-traditional students feel welcome and the staff does everything in their power to make sure their students succeed. From admissions to financial aid to the professors, students are made to feel that their success is truly important to everyone. The financial aid department... Read More

The criminal justice program was a good one at Rider University. The professors teaching it had a genuine interest and love for the topics being taught, making the entire learning experience much more easier. Rider University as a whole was a great school as well, staff and students always made sure to have different activities on campus, and make things fun. They held concerts with different artists, the plays were always executed so well, and the campus looked like something out of a magazine.... Read More

Rider University is a very good school. The opportunities made available to me at Rider were bar none. Sophomore year, I was invited to be a Ronald E. McNair Scholar through which I conducted independent research with a Biology professor at Rider. Furthermore, I was able to travel to a couple states in order to attend McNair conferences as well as to present my research. One of the great aspects about this university was that students can participate in undergraduate research, internships, externship,... Read More

Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey is where I received my Bachelors Degree. After transferring from the College of New Jersey, I was immediately struck by the schools conscientiousness and helpfulness in my efforts to complete my degree. The school was the perfect size and the sense of community makes a new place feel like home. That's the reason I choose Rider University for Graduate School. The communication with Admissions was consistent and responsive. Their application process was... Read More

Rider University is a smaller school with so many opportunities for educational as well as character growth. In my four years here as an undergraduate I felt like I really was able to make a difference. I joined a diverse amount of clubs and organizations and was able to become a leader in many of those organizations. I built my resume through many different on and off campus, Rider affiliated positions such as R.A., conference services leader and study tours counselor. The study abroad program and... Read More

Rider University is a decent school. It's not the most exciting college experience; there is very little to do in the area and extracurriculars are not an emphasis. The quality of the education varies on your major; the business school is highly regarded but many classes outside this discipline are not very challenging. Overall, I would not recommend Rider as anything more than a safety school which is an opinion shared by many others.

The best experience and investment, was going to Rider University. I was a bit nervous and unsure as to how I would succeed, but I am so glad I stuck it out, it opened up so many doors of opportunity and network and it pushed me to want to do better.

Rider university has a great NASP accredited school psychology program. It is three years and covers a wide spread of information relevant to the field. I wish the content covered more counseling techniques and crisis management, however the education I received at Rider definitely prepared me to work in the field with confidence.

When I decided to go back to school, it had been years. I had attended previous colleges with 110 credits. Not only was Rider the only college willing to transfer 90 of my credits, they personally cared. Understanding our finances, they showed me various scholarships to which I was eligible. The staff and professors were both welcoming and knowledgeable. I was much more than a number. It wasn't only me who was treated this way. They treat everyone this way. I have recently gone back to Rider for... Read More

Degree: Performing Arts

There are incredible networking and performance opportunities, offering the ability to collaborate with the most renowned musicians. The location, between NYC and Philadelphia, is a fantastic support of those opportunities. The professors are leaders in their fields of study, and the new dean and president are incredible resources for the students. However, the cost of the program and cross-scheduling of performances can be overwhelming.
