One key pro of my graduate program is the interaction with professionals in the HR field. The professors have knowledgeable experience that helps students understand how to apply the learned skills of HR. Also, the small class sizes give students the opportunities to have more one-on-one time with their professors. The price is more expensive than many other graduate programs. For the area I will be entering in HR, the coursework had very little to do with what I will be doing in my career. This was expressed to the faculty I had, who were excellent educators, but didn't appreciate me voicing the low impact this will have in my career. Saint Francis University is known for its health sciences graduate programs. Nevertheless, Saint Francis University does an amazing job helping and guiding those who choose to pursue a graduate degree in areas other than Health Sciences. They are lawyers, HR administrators, benefit specialists, and more. In my opinion, this is an advantage to us. We learn first-hand and are able to receive more information that a textbook does not have. Not to mention it is a great source to network off of. I am glad I chose to pursue to attain a masters in Human Resource Management through Saint Francis.
