I am happy that I went to college solely for the relationships I built, I have several friends 10 years later from going to school, that I will be friends with for life. I am unhappy I went to school because I went straight out of high school not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, and after several years of switching throughout majors, I found a career that didn't need a degree. I have a ton of student loans I am paying on to this day, and wish there was an alternative route to finding careers/passions... Read More

Located in the beautiful and affordable Redding, California, Simpson University provided a wonderful place to discover both the great outdoors, and the path to my future vocation. Small class sizes meant that we had great access to caring professors who were able to invest a great deal of their time and energy into helping us learn and succeed both inside the classroom, and in our lives as individuals. I was shaped not only as an intellectual, but also as a person, and I know that without the investment... Read More

Great program. One class at a time for 5 weeks in the aspire program. In 16 months I received my B.A. I recommend the program to anyone. I thought ok classes with a cohort. I had wonderful support in my cohort and sometimes our class interacted with our cohorts.

Overall, it was a successful experiences with professors who career and class sizes that created a personal experience. The cost of tuition is very high with minimal scholarships. This is a small school and doesn't have a lot of extra curricular activities to be involved in. However, it is in a beautifully peaceful location.

I loved going to Simpson University so much that I signed up to do the graduate program in teaching at there campus. The stuff and students are so supporting of one another and just makes you feel good knowing you have a ton of support. I would recommend this school to everyone, the education is amazing but the community is what makes it the best.

The faculty are very knowledgeable in their fields and really put in the effort to help you learn the material, not just talk at you from the lecturn. The class sizes are smaller so there is more one on one attention.

My graduate program is Ministry Leadership. I believe this program will prepare me for my future in mentoring young people. Pros: it is a 2- 3 year program depending on how many classes you take at a time. This program is very flexible and the class load is manageable. Simpson works to fit the classes into your schedule. The professors are in support of you and work to make sure you get what you want out of each class. The program is focused on your personal growth and spiritual growth. This program... Read More

It provide a comprehensive graduate program, with accessibility and support, but doesn't provide substantial scholarships for that program for a financially compromised student. I am 53 years old with two dependent sons in college and minimal hours at my job. My human services field does not provide adequate wages to cover my cost of living and to make affordable payments toward mountainous school loan debt. I need serious help or a reference to legitimate resources for scholarship assistance.

My graduate program allows me the ability to still work 2 jobs and support my family. It also gives me the opportunity to finish early.

I think that Simpson University has the most incredible and knowledgeable professors; not only are they helpful and kind, but they really have experience in what they teach and they care about the students on a personal and professional level. I always felt that I was taken care of and there are a variety of courses and majors offered. Unlike other schools, I think that you can really feel the spirituality and care for faith at Simpson.

Pros of my graduate program are the experienced educators on the faculty. The educators have real field experience and use it accordingly in their teaching. The cons of my graduate program is the lack of knowledge that the faculty have on music education.

The credential program is relatively brief compared to other programs, but thorough. I feel that Simpson well prepares its credential candidates for the teaching profession as much as possible. They will help you find a Master Teacher for Student Teaching; professors are always willing to work with you and help you better yourself as a teacher; administration and faculty are available to their students; and the quality of the professors' teaching is both efficient and insightful.
