Degree: Business

There are some very good professors and others that are just cookie cutter and just doing it for the extra money. More proctor like than educators at times. Not a big fan of the forced online interactions between students. Each week there was a group discussion in most classes where you are forced to reply to at least two students. It's not engaging, and obvious everyone is only doing it b/c they have to. The due dates for assignments had a good rhythm to it. Usually had three due dates each week... Read More

Degree: Organizational Leadership

I have been very pleased with the education I received from Southern Nazarene University. The professors were very personable. I love the opportunity to have one class at a time, and the fast track classes. The work load is manageable for a full time employee. I love attending class one night a week, and having my books before me in every class, without having the bother of purchasing book. I love the fact that Southern Nazarene supplies every student with a computer at the beginning of the program,... Read More

I love the MAEL program! It not only prepares me to be a school administrator, but also has made me a better teacher. I network with 18 other teachers and future administrators once a week for 3-4 hours, and I will have my degree after only 62 of these meetings. I would recommend SNU's MAEL program to any and all educators who want to stay in the field and want to stay relevant.

Southern Nazarene University welcomed me with open arms and made learning enjoyable, manageable, and something I actually found myself looking forward to every week. The instructors associated with this school are not only brilliant and relatable, they are also completely accepting of the many different ethnicities and types of faith the students bring to the table. It was a pleasure attending SNU and I would recommend anybody looking for a positive and encouraging "family" to follow by your side... Read More

Degree: Psychology

This is an excellent program and I believe that it far exceeds those offered by other educational institutions in preparing students for their field. Pros: One class at a time for the majority of the program; accelerated program means less time without a degree; all books are supplied; the faculty is excellent and material learned is related to real-world experiences; and small cohorts mean individual attention from faculty and increased support from peers. Cons: higher cost than other educational... Read More

Degree: Business Administration

I really love this school and appreciate the attentiveness of the professors. I am still attending but so far i will recommend the school and the business program. I am a graduate student and like a lot schools, there is not much financial aid other than loans, but if you are dedicated to receiving help you will be fine.

Terrific institution with thoughtful, caring professors. Great grad program for working adults and prepared me well for licensing exams.

Degree: Curriculum & Instruction

The professors were professionals in their field and were therefore able to connect the classroom learning to actual educational practice. I still maintain and appreciate the relationships built with my professors who continue to serve as a resource for me in my educational profession. The cost was a higher than other institutions, though this also translated into a quality program with clear, manageable schedules and excellent instructors.

Degree: MBA

The pros of the program is that the material provided is relevant to an MBA. The program is logically put together in that each subject refers back to previous subjects. The program is set when the student signs up! He or she does not have to continually apply classes evry summester. This is also true with the books and material. All those are waiting in class when the student arrives. The cons are that, because the program is designed as a short program, thre is not more time to learn some of the... Read More

The small class size, and being able to stay with a cohort through the length of the program is very beneficial. My instructors have all been knowledgable and helpful in and out of class time.

Degree: Business

Pros of the Graduate program are the relevance of the curriculum to current situations I encounter in business today. This has been true from the first class until now and I am only half way through the program. Another pro for the program is the reputation that SNU has in the community. A con for the program is the speed required to complete the degree. More time in each course would allow for more practical application in class. Overall, there really is no way to make the course better because... Read More

I really enjoy the flexibility of the distance MBA program. I also like how timely the feedback is and how accessible the professors are.The Christian values are also a positive feature.

Degree: Business

Pros: The high degree of support from the staff and from the faculty. The structure of the program's curriculum is conducive to maintaining full time employment. Cons: I personally hate the idea of being assigned to a cohort group.. if you are like me and are able to handle an accelerated, independent academic pace, being assigned to a cohort group kind will likely hinder you. There is no opportunity to get ahead of the pack/finish sooner. Also, the cost of the university is very high. It is understandable,... Read More
