I completed three semesters there while I was in school and thought the schooling was ok but honestly didn't really learn much other than how to write 15 page papers. I was doing my master in finance and was doing really well in my classes. The classes seemed hard but really all it was is writing long papers. I unfortunately had some serious health problems that happened to me and was no longer able to continue with school. I am now dealing with paying for the tuition costs and what they failed to... Southern New Hampshire University Online is a great place to study. There is always someone willing to help with any needs. The online interfaces are user-friendly, the professors are great, and the classwork is interesting! I love that I get to say I graduated from this school.

Everything about my experience with SNHU was fantastic. The classes were challenging but manageable, the teachers were responsive, the online setting allowed me flexibility to continue working while I completed my degree.
While the grading process was stringent, the professor is still allowed flexibility for emergencies. The only issue I faced while attending, was with connectivity and occasional technical issues with the online platform. However, the instructors were aware of these problems and... Read More

The classes were generally not super difficult but it does require a ton of work from you since it is online. You get your syllabus in the beginning of the term and, depending on your professor, will pretty much have to keep up with your work and modules with only minimum announcements at the beginning of the week. I personally enjoyed this as it gave me a sense of independence and responsibility but if you struggle with these things, it will be a hard time for you. Overall did enjoy and would recommend... As an Audhd individual who dropped out of public high school and graduated through an online program, Southern New Hampshire University’s online courses were a great fit for me and my higher education. Studying remotely with SNHU accommodated my needs and learning style, while offering a great variety of courses specific to my major. I have only good memories of the online instructors, student aid/support, and the structure of the virtual classrooms themselves. SNHU made college a less daunting experience... Read More

Southern New Hampshire University offered me the easiest environment to be able to continuing work and attend classes. With it being solely online, I was able to work full time and still receive a proper education. Teachers and other advisors were easily reachable and understanding during my school years.

SNHU online has been such a wonderful experience. The professors were always there when you needed help, and despite being online, there was so many opportunities available. I got into the National Honor Society, and they have many other programs that acknowledge all of your hard work. The classes are very enjoyable and easy to digest.

Absolutely awful if you’re looking for a quality education. The online coursework is a joke. The “professors” don’t teach anything, the textbooks often don’t match the coursework, and assignments are just given a pass with little helpful feedback. If you’re looking for an easy A with no new knowledge or skillsets, this is the program for you. If you want to actually learn and feel like your money is well spent, look elsewhere.

I enrolled at SNHU when my son entered high school. After being a computer geek for most of my life and a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to do something for myself. I loved it at first. But that changed. I quickly learned that there is little to no support. At least for my subject. No peer-to-peer tutors at all, and if there are, most don't have a clue what you're doing, or it is outside of their expertise. I have had a few that were great. But that was before I got into much more difficult courses.... Read More

Where 95% of the teachers were great and the resources I had at my fingertips were vast, I couldn't help but feeling a bit disconnected from the other students and the staff. The only real impressionable two people was a guy in my writing class who was just learning English (and it was so good to see him thrive even better than the native speakers in the class) and my advisor. This is not a school. This is a diploma mill. They take your money, check off a box, and send you on your way. I am so thoroughly disgusted with my experience and how this institution is run. They have so little regard for their students' intelligence that they don't even trust you to register for your own courses- you have to have an advisor register for you. That also means that if you can't reach anyone to register for you quick enough, you will miss out on the courses you actually want. And speaking... Read More

SNHU's online courses were the perfect fit for my college search. Each class is self-taught and self-paced, however, most times the professors will include supplemental videos and texts to help you understand the material. Each class was engaging with the use of discussion boards, and most professors were prompt in their feedback and fair in their grading policies. I definitely recommend SNHU if you're looking for an online college program.

I graduated with my bachelor's degree earlier this year and have just recently started on m master's degree. I do enjoy my school and appreciate the flexibility that it allows. I work full-time and am a single mother of three, so flexibility is a must. The quality of the teachers can vary, as I have had some that were amazing and others who I could not even tell were there. The education is mostly self-taught. They give you the basic information, but if you want to truly learn the material, you have... Read More

Everything was great until it was time to pay SNHU. They told me I had a grace period but they were so greedy that they sent it to collection without giving me time to pay and I requested over and over for a payment plan they didn't care once I graduated. The financial team was rude and lied to me

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL IF YOU ARE FINANCIAL AID RECIPIENT.

SNHU has an awful Financial Aid Department and there's a strong likelihood that any random student can be “flagged” for “Secondary Verification”. When this happens it will be the death of your enrollment there. This will also mean you will not receive your Aid Package disbursement and will be dropped from your classes without appeal mid-term. Your aid will be canceled and then you'll be billed for your tuition.

My experience was as follows:... Read More

After spending months of sometimes daily sometimes weekly contact with SNHU's admissions department I started school on Monday, September 1st. Then on Friday, September 5th I received an email saying I had been selected for “Secondary ID Verification”,(they never conducted a first one). They wanted photos front and back of my ID and proof of live subject via video. This email was sent on September 5th, it came with a deadline of SEPTEMBER 5TH. Yes, the deadline was the same day they sent it out. I met this deadline and submitted all requested docs through SNHU's own third party provider's portal, with proof of live subject.

The ID provided was a brand new government issued ID, issued two months earlier and is fully compliant with all the new Federal TSA and Homeland Security protocols. A REALID Gold Star ID. I provided full facial recognition scan as well.

I subsequently submitted/uploaded a copy of my Birth certificate front and back, 3 different bank cards front and back in my name, and a second ancillary form of photo ID (photo ID badge from work)

I complained about making a request on the same day as the deadline. I called in as well. Got smart Alec responses and no reply dead-end emails back.

SNHU put all my Aid on hold while “processing” my ID submission. Their provider, “Persona” said 3 to 5 business days. SNHU said they needed 7 to 10 business days. This time frame caused a delay in my funding as it was placed “on hold”.

After 10 business had expired and my Aid not being disbursed I called and emailed complaints. I had been attending classes and maintaining a grade average in excess of 96 percent in all my classes.

Despite all this, and 100 percent of the problem being SNHU's, I was dropped the day after my complaint about them taking longer than their own set time limit. I said, “If I'm late on an assignment my grades suffer. Why are you allowed to be late if im not”

The following day I received an email saying I'd been dropped from class because ,”SNHU was unable to verify my Identity within the allotted 10 day time frame.” Their time frame, their failure, their negligence, their incompetence, BUT MY LOSS, MY PUNISHMENT, MY AID HIJACKED. I'd been dropped from class mid-term and my FASFA money withheld.

They then had the nerve to bill me and tell me I owed then 6000 dollars even though I was approved for an Aid package from FASFA, but SNHU wasn't going to let me have it because they wouldn't accept my state of the art brand new State Issued ID, and abundant additional proofs, having met an exceeded 100% of their own submission requirements without them making any request whatsoever for additional verification. Just summarily dropped without legitimate justification or recourse.

I've filed a complaint with the Department of Education and the BBB. It's still an open case.

SNHU cost me months of time and hard work, followed by loss of my Financial Aid. This set me back four to six months on my education and destroyed many plans I had made while building my life around my attendance and expectation of cash disbursements to defray expenses I had incurred in so doing. I had to break promises made, looked like a liar and a fool to all my friends and family, and am experiencing mental pain and suffering as a result of SNHU's inexcusable, unprofessional and possibly criminal mistreatment of me.

If you expect to be treated well with professionalism and have hopes of receiving cash credits back as part of financing your education with FASFA funding DO NOT CHOOSE Southern New Hampshire University.

There are a few things I wish I had known. 1. they advertise that they take into consideration your job experience. Having been a bookkeeper/accountant for 15 years, I thought I would not have to take any sort of internship. I was wrong. However, since I work full time, an internship is not doable, so instead, they have you shell out another $1,000 and 2 months for an "experiential learning" class. 2. The professors in my degree (accounting) did not teach. They proctored. They graded. I never (not... Read More

I would not recommend using SNHU Online to further your studies. As an older individual attending classes, I had a 4.0. That was until one lecturer accused me of utilizing artificial intelligence. My work was "too well-written", which in her mind was a criminal offense. I'm in my forties and can write quite well. She did not even read the paper I produced, which took me three days to complete after extensive editing and revising. My paper was identical to the work I had submitted throughout the semester....
