The teachers are Christ-centered and subject matter experts, but the administration is HORRIBLE. It was good until the brought in new leadership. They got a new president who is very self centered and only cares about what he can do to get the school ahead financially. He spent money that was supposed to be spent on dorm remodels on his own inauguration. He also forces students to live on campus until they are at least juniors so that the school can pay for the excessive amount of dorms that they... Read More

Southwest Baptist University is a Christian University in southwest Missouri. The on campus community is very close. Professors and staff members are dedicated to helping students be ready for careers and life after college. I was a student in the social work program. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's Degree in Social Work and I have been more than prepared.

SBU's PT program is a large program accepting up to 80 students which provides a large group of students and a potentially diverse class to learn with. The Intercultural Studies department at SBU is very unique; it was the first of its kind. I just recently got back from my six months abroad, and my classes very much prepared me for living overseas and doing mission work. I would recommend this program to anyone who has a desire to do missions, especially overseas. You learn so much about other cultures but also about yourself!

There is some busy work, but for the most part the program's classes and faculty provide the perfect opportunity for understanding and applying what I need to know to become a successful physical therapist. The only con is that some teachers are better than most, but all of them know what they are talking about because they are specialized in their specific... Read More
