SUNY Albany was a great place to gain an education. The cost of tuition is very cheap relative to other schools. The campus is nice, the staff was all very knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. I learned a lot in the Environmental Science program, and I also really enjoy the non-major courses I tool as well.

I enjoyed my experience at SUNY at Albany. There was a large variety of clubs and organizations offered to students. The orientation also helped tremendously with the transition from high school to college. I declared my major the spring of my freshman year. I knew that I wanted to go to medical school so I was on the pre-med track. Looking back, I wish that there was a more career-driven approach to the degree program. This university was the best experience of my entire life. Being home from school for breaks took forever, because all I could think about was getting back to Albany! There is a vast array of majors and school activities. It is impossible to go to this school and NOT find something for yourself. The towns surrounding this University also provide access to a multitude of activities. The weather gets a bit chilly, but it is worth it.

Most of the professors are research based professors. Ask them if you can shadow or volunteer in their labs. This gets you ahead of the curve when it comes to lab experience and a resume bonus. This is a great school for those who want to pursue a business degree. I made the best out of it while pursing my Biology degree because I would participate in all my classes. you should do the same

The University at Albany has a rigorous Biology Department. Although it is rigorous, it is well worth it in the long run. The professors expect 150 percent out of every student and it is his/hers responsibility to keep up on the work. Like most colleges, some professors are better than others and therefore it is important to be able to adapt. Due to the volume of students at this school there are endless opportunities to get involved with the students and community.

SUNY Albany is a vast university and it is sure everyone will get lost in the campus at least once. I would highly recommend you ti vista the campus before you decide to attend the school. It will really help you start the year easily. Another tip is to be friendly your first year because everyone is judging to find a friend and if you come off, dull nobody will talk to you. Honestly everyone is off with their own group of friends as the year take off. If you are introvert, try finding a friend of... Read More
