Towson University provides a strong balance of academic variety, campus life, and professional development. The faculty are supportive, the campus is clean and modern, and there are plenty of resources for tutoring, career guidance, and student involvement. Towson’s location near Baltimore provides great internship and job opportunities while still maintaining a safe, community‑focused environment. Overall, it’s a solid choice for students looking for a well‑rounded college experience with room to... Read More

I enjoyed Towson University. I was a commuter student all 4 years, there were plenty of resources available for me including therapy, I was dealing with a lot during my college years. Most of my professors were great, there were a few that I did not like, because of their teaching styles, and assignments. I had the opportunity to study abroad during the winter semester, it was a very organized program. Towson is a large public school, many of my classes were large. Overall, the professors were attentive... Read More

I loved going to Towson University - I was only there for my junior and senior year, being a transfer student from a local community college, but I enjoyed my time there. The professors were awesome and the campus was nice. I learned a lot from the time I was there to the time I graduated - met lots of people as well.

Classes were small and teachers were easy to talk to with real world experience and were able to give us relevant opportunities in the field. I was able to use my internship and research to get a foot in the door at my employer but my actual masters degree had very little value

Degree: Business Administration

Towson University is a great and more affordable 4-year university compared to rivals in the state. I pay around $7,500 a semester to attend as I don’t get any financial assistance nor have I looked into scholarships. The campus is lovely, and the academics are sufficient. I’ve clearly learned much more here than I have during my time in community college (Howard Community College). The availability of the Leadership and Management concentration under the Business Administration degree was a crucial... Read More

Towson has an excellent campus. I loved the size as it wasn’t too big or too small. They had a great upgraded gym I liked to use all the time and I’m
Pretty sure it was open super late too. All my professors were very knowledgeable about their topics as well as other worldly experiences which I thought made it really interesting.

As an alumni from Towson University, I am grateful for the experience that Towson University gave me as a whole, with special thanks and regards to the Department of Dance. Towson University helped to shape me into the person I am today, by showing me a world and a culture much different than the environment I grew up in. There is something valuable to be learned from every professor, no matter your major, and no matter the department. Each professor I had during my four years at Towson had a very... Read More

Towson University has a great campus with many amenities nearby for students to access. The campus itself is very pretty and has a great feel to it. The student body can be slightly wishy-washy, but that’s a part of what college is there for. The education I received was okay, and where it taught me a lot, I learned more from my experiences there rather than my education

The teachers are very boring and the curriculum so far hasn’t helped for me and others already in the classroom working. Unless you need a certificate this is a waste of money unless your employer is paying for it. Cohorts are nice but abilities and experience vary as does willingness to commit to the courses.

As a young single mother that came to TU with a delayed college timeline from previous issues and that also graduated in the middle of the pandemic...Towson gave me the best education I could've asked for and through all the challenges I faced, I wouldn't change any of it. I may not have gotten the adventurous college experience most young adults get but I had access to many resources and I had fellow classmates that came from a similar situation as mine. All of my professors were able to utilize... Read More

Degree: Teaching

Towson's Master of Arts in Teaching program was very unorganized. Staff has the potential to make conditions better for their teachers-in-training, but I haven't seen them take initiative for change. Only a few professors in the program are fantastic. Towson is known for being a teacher's college, but the current management makes the experience very stressful. The program director needs to step up and take better care of communication and congeniality with students and staff. We deserve an MAT program... Read More

Great school with a lot of instruction and guidance into the nursing profession. Good exposure to graduate nursing programs and degrees and preparation for a post graduate nursing degree. I think it needed more nclex review prep in class rather than an additional cost

Towson Universities advisement center is disappointing, misleading and can hold students back from graduating on time. Students that are transferring and/or changing majors will have a difficult time attaining the core requirements, getting ahold of advisors and signing up for required classes. I would not recommend this school to any student trying to graduate within four years. They require you to take a large amount of unnecessary classes that do not relate to your major. The classes taught are not too board and are very interesting. I've taken 3 special topic courses at Towson and all of them were topics I've been wanting to study. I have been able to make a better understanding of the world through the knowledge I have gained through Towson. I love tackling real issues and topics in my classes. At the time of my attendance, the school was called Towson State University. I was originally an Audiology major. The school changed the program requirements so much that I decided to pursue my minor area of focus, Psychology. In retrospect, it was a perfect move. The degree program, Family Science, was incredibly interesting. The professors had a vast knowledge of the classes that taught, and they were always available for meetings. I had a lovely experience at Towson. I had many mentors who were able to help me with deciding my career choice and who were also able to help me pursue that career choice. My professors helped me get into my graduate school by writing me letters of recommendation which I will also greatly appreciate.
