I attended the University of Arizona studying Biomedical Sciences, and overall, my experience was very positive. The academic programs are rigorous and well-structured, with knowledgeable professors who are passionate about their fields. I especially appreciated the strong focus on research opportunities and hands-on learning.

The campus environment is welcoming and diverse, making it easy to connect with peers from different backgrounds. There are also plenty of resources available to support students... Read More

One area that could be improved is advising and administrative support, which can sometimes be slow or inconsistent. However, the quality of education and the opportunities provided make up for this.

Overall, my education had a strong impact on my career path, and I would recommend this school to others, especially those interested in science and research-related fields.

The University of Arizona is a recommendable university due to its wide variety of options when it comes to majors, minors, clubs, and other involvements. It is a very expensive university, even with scholarships - I was an out-of-state student with a $48k scholarship and despite working full-time in college, I still had to take out about $20k in student loans that I'm still paying for 8 years later. I wish that the university offered better advisement in terms of class requirements and scheduling... Read More

The University of Arizona Online was a great experience for me in my journey for wanting to grow in my career. I originally went to University of Arizona for engineering, but I was able to easily transition to a new major as my career path changed over the last few years. The school made it a seamless transition and placed me into courses that were relevant to what I wanted to learn.

UA is a great school located in a great city. There are plenty of things to do and interesting things nearby. Hard to beat for anybody looking for top tier academics, high ranked sports, awesome hiking, and fantastic food. Would recommend to anybody who asked.

Dorm life and food options were great, plenty of academic resources if you need help or want to further your education, social scene was great too. I was involved in a lot of organizations and clubs. It is the rare college experience where you can lay on the campus mall anytime of year.

I attended the University of Arizona during my undergraduate years and was pleasantly surprised by the caliber of the education that I received. With its reputation as a party school, I wasn’t quite sure what I would be walking into regarding academics, though I knew that they had a big research budget. However, I couldn’t be happier with my choice to attend. The students that I interacted with were mostly smart and driven, and I still had school/play balance that made the experience fun, as college... Read More

Academically, I had a pretty solid experience at the University of Arizona. I learned a lot and got a great deal of hands-on experience in literature, pedagogy, and teaching. My professors were, by and large, fantastic and incredible resources in their fields. However, the University was plagued by financial issues. The main cultural resource center that I used for support, resources, editing/writing support, and community was systematically dismantled by administration who made it very clear (in... Read More

Like a lot of places, the quality of the education depends a lot on the amount of effort you put in. UA offers all the opportunity you need to succeed, but you do need to make an effort to know what the resources are and how to find them (i.e. advisors, tutoring, etc.).

The material overall was not challenging and I learned less than in my undergrad degree at another university. The opportunities were slim and the culture between professors was toxic in my department and that trickled down to the students. Overall this school was a major disappointment, not worth the money or time, and did not help me step into the professional world. I needed a school where my professors were my advocate so they would help me get jobs.

There is a heavy greek presence and party culture on campus, but if this is not for you, don't worry, there is a lot more to the UA. Within a science major, there were many engaged students and fantastic faculty that were always available to me. This was when I needed extra support, whether it was related to class or an extracurricular, or just personal. I can't speak to the experience of going there for gen eds since I was a transfer student, but I was genuinely surprised by how great it was to... Read More

At the University of Arizona, I received a great education in learning about sustainable design and building materials. I learned multiple programs that could make me an asset for many different positions. It also led me to continue at this school to pursue my master's in architecture, which I am currently enrolled in.

The University of Arizona as a whole does not care about graduate students. However, the Communication department is fantastic. I loved being there and felt I grew as a student and as a person. The skills I gained are so useful for my career, and the connection I made with the professors, students, and staff have continued past my graduation date.

The program is hyped by student services, but once you are in, you are left on your own. Professors and instructors are not interested in teaching and always seem to have better things to do than help students. Mentors are not very useful. Everyone is aware of the problems, but the effort to change things for the better it too much.

My son was a 2020 high school graduate who went to a four year college. With Covid, that meant fully online for the first year from home. By the second year he was used to this and wanted to continue to go online for the flexibility it offered. Midway through his sophomore year he transferred out of state to UofA online as the four year college couldn't see him through to graduation online. UofA was great at first, very helpful with the application process and the first semester of counseling. And... Read More

Overall I would say this school is ok. I had some professors that were quite helpful and engaging and others that seemed like they wanted their students to fail because the class expectations seemed quite unreasonable. I was in the honors college so I can say that from my experience. In terms of the other aspects the financial aid office was pretty helpful but my advisors were pretty worthless. I began my undergraduate career as an on-campus student. I found living in on-campus in Tucson wasn't really my sort of scene, so after I semester I moved back home. After becoming an online student, I did better academically than I had when I lived on-campus. Resources such as the ThinkTank can be very beneficial. I personally found advisers to be very wishy-washy. When I transitioned from on-campus to online, I met two amazing advisers who I only spoke with briefly. After I finished my transition...
