UCF is a great school if you go into knowing what you want to do. The teachers seem helpful and the advisors are okay. The campus is huge and there are many things for student to do if interersted. The TA's are very helpful if students need some extra help out of class.

I think UCF is a great school and in my particular case very fufilling and a good basis for my career choice. I went on to get my Masters degree in game design through FIEA and with the background and teachings I recieved in undergrad I was prepared to start my journey as an artist.

This was a school that provided exactly what you needed when looking for an education post high school. At this time, I was working full time while attending classes and it provided the flexibility I needed to be able to take classes at night and work a 9-5. Of course, for certain courses I had employment flexibility which helped me attend classes that maybe occurred in the later afternoon or earlier in the day. Sufficed to say, because of the size of the school I had a lot of flexibility that made... Read More

My time at UCF was very beneficial to my career as I did many mock assignments of tasks I would do in the professional writing sect. I liked how most of my professors were passionate about their subject and made learning fun. I pursued a cultural anthropology minor and had a fun time taking classes like "The Anthropology of Harry Potter" and "Magic, Rituals, and Beliefs." I was also involved with the UCF SoAl Choir and loved the opportunities to make friends and perform at the Dr. Philips Center.... Read More

The size and scale of the University allows for a significant variety in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Additionally, because of the large student population there are resources, clubs, and activities for every interest. Lastly, the school is located in a growing and booming engineering and entertainment/hospitality area. This allows for local internship and additional educational opportunities. For all these reason, the school (just like many) is what you make of it, but UCF has significantly... Read More

Attending the University of Central Florida gave me a level of prestige in my career that I am proud of. I feel that the knowledge I gained in my degree is useful in my career. The ability to attend online removed a barrier that would have prevented me from attending otherwise. My professors were responsive and supportive.

UCF was amazing. I knew the minute I went to take a look at the college during my senior year of high school that I liked it there. The beautiful trees and lights and the environment felt not only like a college but just warming and like home. It's unfortunate that I did dual enrollment in high school because I then only spent 2 years at UCF instead. But overall I loved the classes and the teachers and just the experience there. They have so much to offer from clubs to events you see being hosted... Read More

I enjoyed my experience at UCF. Being a commuter student who lives an hour away I appreciated that they had hybrid and remote options. I think my biggest critique is the registering for classes is more difficult than it should be and the academic advisors were not the most helpful.

In UCF you will make many acquaintances but it was very difficult for my to make long lasting friends. I grew up thinking that once I was in college I would make some forever friends but that was not the case. I also noticed that the professors are always prepared and ready for any questions you might throw at them. Its quite different from my experience at Valencia College where it felt like the professors weren't sure of their own answers. I also really liked that the UCF professors pushed their... Read More

I loved going to UCF and being a part of the Radio/Television Program. I learned a lot and got a ton of hands-on experience in class, especially with the equipment in the studio. Advisors were also really great when it came to helping me with course scheduling, plus the in-state tuition cost was really cheap.

I would recommend UCF to any student. First of all, they have many professional organizations such as SWE, NSBE, and SHPE that can help you find like-minded students and help you land a job or internship. Secondly, they are very friendly and helpful towards first generation students as they offer counseling, scholarships, and many opportunities for them. The school events are a lot of fun and I would highly recommend. The on campus clinic and pharmacy are top tier and I love that they offer telehealth.... Read More

Daily academic experience can be frustrating. Class sizes are extremely large, especially in core and prerequisite courses, which makes it difficult to feel engaged. Many lectures feel more like huge auditorium shows than actual teaching, and it’s hard to ask questions. Because of the huge classes, building rapport with professors is nearly impossible. Office hours are limited and often crowded, and interactions are usually rushed. Most pre med professors are knowledgeable but difficult to understand... Read More

I feel like I received a great education at the University of Central Florida. It was mostly contruibuted by the fact that most of my professors had been actively working in the field as they were also teaching. They were able to provide a very hands on learning experience and provide a prospective that can only be gained by years of experience.

I had a relatively good experience at University of Central Florida. I was a biology major, but felt that the science department, mainly the chemistry department, was weak. I graduated years ago so I hope it changed, but it felt like a very unsupported department. Rude professors who did not teach well. Aside from that, I feel the college provided lots of opportunities with clubs.

I really enjoyed my time at my school when I went there because I had lots of opportunities to get to explore what all I was interested in learning about. I also loved how my school was so large that I had may options of activities and programs in which I wanted to participate. During my time at University of Central Florida, I found that most of my time pursuing my degree felt like a waste of time. Perhaps due to the nature of the school being a business school, or the Emerging Media major being experimental, I felt like the school forced us to take a bunch of classes that weren't relevant to the major. I didn't feel like I had resources to further develop industry level skills, and didn't have as much opportunities compared to others at different schools. Most of my peers... Read More

UCF was a great school that had many qualities that were good like the campus, resources, and some classes really applied the experience learned which provided added benefits for future employment. The things that brought it down a bit in my opinion would be the amount of students accepted made it really hard to get the classes that I required to graduate, another negative aspect would be the outsourcing of teachers that weren't the best for being an educator as it was harder to understand or just... The hybrid schedule made it easier to further my education while signing full-time. The coursework and homework were able to be completed in plenty of time even with my busy schedule. Group projects were challenging with most graduate students working and completing coursework.
