Degree: Social Work

The University of Central Missouri staff and faculty were extremely kind, compassionate, and helpful when I was there. I wasn't sure what degree I wanted to have, but one of the advisors assisted me in deciding on social work. All of my social work professors never had any issues answering questions and a few were very compassionate when I was dealing with some trauma as well.

Degree: Agriculture

If you are considered acquiring a UCM agriculture degree, I would reconsider. The department here is in shambles. There is little to no organization between department chair and fellow professors. A lot of the stuff being taught is pretty elementary agriculture, even into the higher level courses. I transferred here thinking it would be a great fit from my previous institution. I was wrong. A majority (85-90%) of the stuff being instructed was already covered in previous classes at my previous institution.... Read More

Degree: Network Security

I really enjoyed my time at the University of Central Missouri. I would say that I had a really good experience there overall. The only few complaints I would have is that most of my professors were foreign and I could not understand some of them sometimes when they were teaching the class. This made it a little difficult to focus and I had to do a lot of studying outside of class.

Degree: Teaching

UCM is a good fit. Most students are friendly and won't bother you in the common areas but it's also easy to find people to hang out with if you want. There are a lot of activities. Professors are very hands-on and want to help you; many have flexible office hours and will gladly video chat or email frequently. Online classes are fair and easy to keep up with. The library is excellent and if you don't know how to work it, somebody will show you. One thing that is irritating is that you have to pay... Read More

Degree: CAD/Computer Aided Drafting

The Design & Drafting program at the University of Central Missouri is a great program. If you're looking to work closely with engineers or architects but don't want to fully design the architectural system of a building then this is the career for you. A drafter provides more of a supporting role to engineers and architects. There are even opportunities where a drafter can progress into an engineering role. If you aren't completely sure or set on becoming an engineer don't worry with this program... Read More

Degree: Psychology

The University of Central Missouri (UCM) is a mid-sized public university in Warrensburg, MO. Nestled between Kansas City and Sedalia, UCM offers unique opportunities to its students. In general, the campus is ergonomically laid out. Students neednt walk far under the majestic oak trees to reach their next class, although most of my time was spent in the Lovinger building. As a psychology major, I took courses in psychological theory, physiology, human development, and research design. The faculty... Read More

Degree: Criminal Justice

The University of Central Missouri was a marvelous school to attend. It was in military town with just enough to do to keep students entertained without being a distraction. University staff were attentive, friendly, and valued education. Every interaction I had with an administrator or professor was productive and helpful; they desire to help every student excel. Professors make office hours convenient and flexible for all and are willing to offer the support and time needed to ensure timely graduation.... Read More

Degree: Mechanical Engineering

University of Central Missouri is a great college that offers a variety of degrees and certificates for college students. My program, mechanical engineering technology, is one of the toughest programs the school has to offer but also has the biggest rewards as you enter the workforce with an UCM degree under your belt. I do recommend going to a school that allows for great reward.

Degree: Nursing

I am very pleased with the education that I received at UCM; all around, it was a very good online experience. However, I did have a very bad experience with one of the instructors who is also over the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. I do NOT recommend taking her as an instructor, I would rate her at 1 out of 5. She grades hard and does not explain the assignments so you end up getting a low score. Stand clear from her. The other instructors were amazing and made you feel like they genuinely wanted... Read More

If your wanting to go into the aviation field UCM is where I would recommend. They have an excellent program. They have hired pilots from around the world with different backgrounds that teach different classes and all have there own knowledge to teach.

Degree: Nursing

So far, I have had a wonderful experience with this college. The application process is SO easy. You do not have to write an essay, provide references or anything else. All you have to do is turn in your transcripts and it is based solely on GPA. You have to be admitted to the graduate program first and then the actual school you want to attend has to admit you as well. The graduate office is very helpful, especially Jessica. The nursing school is quick to respond. You have to then get all of your... Read More

I am just starting the nursing graduate program. The graduate office is extremely helpful and the cost is very low when comparing to other universities. All online. Less hours than most programs. They get back to you promptly. I would recommend this school to a working momma in need of advancing her degree! Great school!

The quality of education for the price is just right. The student to teacher ration is nice. The location is close to at least 3 major cities for entertainment, sports and shopping.

I would highly recommend UCMO. The course study is on par with more expensive online schools. another reason I love the school is that i will be graduating with a great education and not broke!! The course load is manageable for those who work while studying and the summer courses really allow you to get ahead of your degree in a very accelerated pace. Overall I would rate the school an A+
