The University of Florida was a very demanding school academically. I found this to be challenging yet very rewarding. It was refreshing to be surrounded by peers of the same intellectual strength and drive to succeed. This also lead to an air of competitiveness among students, which was not my favorite, however; it is relevant to the real working world.

The University of Florida was a fantastic place to attend college. There are many resources for undergraduates to build up their resumes, and I felt very privileged as an honors student. I was able to become very involved with extracurricular activities and pursue interesting classes that challenged me in a great way. I feel very capable as a professional thanks to my education at UF.

Going to the best school in Florida is a rewarding experience. I had large accommodations at the Springs Complex, and living so close to the law school building inspired me to pursue my law degree. The teachers are incredibly dedicated to their work and their students and the bus system got me around easily.

My time at UF was a positive one. The academics were very good, I learned a lot and many teachers were memorable. There was a lot of diversity and you can find whatever student group you were interested in. I think the school allowed many different types of opinions and beliefs.

Overall, I had a great experience when I was at this school. The classes in my major were really good, and there was always a wide variety of electives to choose from. I learned a lot from the courses that I took at UF, and while I still haven't started my career yet, I do feel that I was put on a much better path moving forward than if I didn't attend.

The engineering graduate school at UF was a mixed bag. As a top tier school in the State of Florida, UF has a lot of good amenities for students as well as a multitude of opportunities to work in labs and gain real experience while enrolled. On paper there is a lot to enjoy about the university. I mostly had good quality professors who were intelligent and helpful. One professor stood out to me as horrible though. His class was 4 grades: a midterm, two homeworks, and a final all relatively equally... Read More

My school experience was very odd at UF. The people are incredibly pretentious, but besides that, the education in of itself is the best in the state, just very politically biased, and the professors aren't afraid to show it. I wish they kept it more tame with their personal opinions

Overall UF was a fantastic school. There is a big mix between social life and academics (work hard play hard). A lot of the early business classes were online as they were classes of like 500 students. As you get further into your degree, your classes become much more tailored.

(For this review, I attended the university's College of Journalism and Communications. I specifically attended for a Bachelor's in Telecommunications on the news route, as opposed to the production route) If you go for a telecommunications or journalistic degree with the intent to enter the industry (something the university excels at), you'll probably get your money's worth with the actual program they offer. They have an entire news station set up for students to learn about and practice radio,... Read More

Through the outstanding faculty and tutoring available at the campus, I was able to achieve my undergraduate degree in 5 years, only because I took off one semester, and did coursework at local colleges. The University of Florida provided the framework needed for me to accomplish and succeed in my selected field. Through the support and high ambition of faculty, and peers, I was able to thrive educationally, in the community as well as extracurricular activities.

Gator Nation gave me so much! It was amazing to enter as a scared freshman and feel connected to the campus almost instantly. I was able to find my home at UF, but that was not without trying. UF is a large campus and I was surprised when several hundred students would be in one lecture--I never thought I would belong or make friends. Although I love my alma mater, not everything was great. It was difficult to connect with professors, and you can easily get lost in the crowd. I would never change... Read More

The University of Florida is a wonderful university. While I attend the University I majored in International Studies with a focus on Asia. However, that's to the flexible courses provided by the University and their wonderful advising staff I was also able to graduate with a minor in Japanese and Religion.
