DO NOT DO THIS PROGRAM. Attend as a backup if you need it, or if you just want to get your degree and jump in. Do not enter if you hope to be prepared for your career ESPECIALLY AS A COUNSELOR IN HIGHER ED. As someone who works in higher ed I am constantly shocked by the lack of professionalism and organization from this school and their administrative faculty. It's common to get no response or extremely delayed responses, and there is absolutely no information AT ALL for those of us who are here... Read More

Degree: Healthcare Administration
This is a review as a current student of the MHA program at the ULV. I only have one term left for graduation so this review refers to all classes exempt for Graduate Seminar. The Masters of Health Services Management lacks structure. Every teacher does not grade according to a rubric. All grades are subjective. All teachers come up with their own standards of what they think is acceptable graduate work. This makes most of the teacher very easy and giving out A's like candy. Very few teachers actually... Degree: School Counseling
The instructors at the Irvine camus were great! I enjoyed most of the classes and instructors that I had. However, the administration at the school and trouble in regards to fieldwork was horrible and made me go from recommending the program to advising individuals to research other programs. There was frequent misinformation being told to students or administration would take so long to get back to students it caused many of us to miss important deadlines, know importatnt rules or regulations. I... Read More

Degree: School Counseling
I was hugely disappointed with my experience in this program. While the majority of the professors are passionate and well-informed individuals the administration side of the program left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I frequently had to follow up on emails I sent to various admin when I needed help or clarification on certain issues. This meant for many of the emails I sent it would usually take a month or so for someone to respond OR I would be redirected because the recipient would claim that... Read More

Degree: Clinical Psychology
I have never felt so supported from a program, its small so you have close relationships with almost every professor. Since clinical psychology is such a small community this is so important and something I took for granted when applying to schools. I always feel competitive when going out into interviews. I can't thank this program enough.

Degree: Sociology
The Sociology program at University of La Verne was an amazing program. Class sizes were relatively small, with classes within your major with roughly 5-20 students (dependent on the class). Faculty were friendly and accommodating. Faculty also held weekly office hours and were responsive to emails. The campus is located roughly 30 miles from the hustle and bustle of down town Los Angeles in a small and quiet community. The campus is small, modern updates and offers great programs.

The University of La Verne has given me the best undergraduate career I would of ever expected or ever thought I could have. It is definitely a hidden gem, with the close knit community, the small classrooms, and the amazing resources and staff that are there to help. I received help from faculty and staff no matter what I needed even if they weren't in my field I was able to get support and help from everyone. I would definitely recommend visiting campus if you're considering completing your bachelors... Read More

Degree: MBA in Organizational Leadership
I wasn't sure I wanted to get an advanced degree after gaining professional and technical expertise in my field but as I advanced I realized something was missing - management knowledge. The ULV MSLM program filled the gap. Many of the professors are great, a few are know for the easy "A" and many students take advantage not realizing what they are missing. I have learned so much and I see a difference between me and peers at work. My boss could have benefited from a conflict resolution class. For... Read More
