I enjoyed my school. It was very challenging but it kept you engaged and taught me a lot in my field. The campus was great and many of my friends also went to the same school. There were plenty of things to do in College Park as well. The classes kept your attention. Great experience.

I really loved University of Maryland! So much so, I would take the opportunity to take higher education there as well. I thought the campus was beautiful, the people were mostly kind and welcoming, and the faculty were exceptional, especially in their backgrounds. I'm biased, but the Japanese department in particular I loved because it was small and tight-knit. I had a blast in the student organizations I were in. The only gripe I could have is that there was always construction going on and the... Read More

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UMD. I was able to find multiple on campus groups to be a part of, and found that the professors were always willing and able to help when I was struggling. Campus had a lot to offer, including on campus job opportunities, close to campus opportunities, and was easily accessible with the metro. Game days (no matter which sport!) were always a great time.

Great school to attend, was very happy with the Hearing and Speech Sciences department from undergrad through graduate school. Many opportunities for research and close connections with local hospitals, ENTs & private practices for externships. Also opportunities for reduction in tutition with work/study programs.

UMD is a very diverse school with students from many regions, many races, and socioeconomic backgrounds. It has been a wonderful experience for me to study and work as a graduate assistant on this campus. My current program is not necessarily the most put-together and best, but I really enjoy how this campus supports students overall. Even though I am unable to get all the support I needed from my program, I was able to find resources across campus.

I chose University of Maryland due to the proximity to my hometown and the good quality of education when it came to STEM studies. On-campus living was a good experience. Unfortunately halfway through I had to switch to online learning because of COVID-19 which was difficult but overall I graduated and believe I got a pretty good education and I was able to be employed after.

I went to UMD for undergrad and grad school. It is great quality of education for the price, especially as an in-state resident. The professors in my graduate program were especially competent in the field. I would recommend UMD to anyone interested in pursuing higher education.

My experience at the University of Maryland was excellent. My mathematics courses gave me the foundation I needed to get a good job in a competitive market. It did a great job of teaching me theory behind complex mathematics, problem solving skills and real world application which helped me land a job before graduation. Besides academics the university was supportive of me and offered a lot of experiences both on and off campus.

My experience at UMD has been kind of a mix of everything. The good, stressful, fun, and honestly a little chaotic at times. Academically, it’s definitely not easy. Classes can hit hard depending on your major, and there are moments where you’re just trying to survive deadlines, exams, and group projects all at once. But at the same time, that pressure kind of forces you to grow up fast and figure things out, which I actually appreciate looking back on it. Outside of classes, the campus life is probably... The University of Maryland, College Park felt like its own little city in the best way. Even though it is a big campus, it was easy to find your niche and build community. I learned a lot there, and the professors gave me a strong foundation and helpful structure. What has stayed with me most over time is the network. The connections, opportunities, and overall experience made it a place that really helped shape me.

The University of Maryland in College Park is a great university with a strong focus on academic achievement. Professors are very knowledgeable in their fields, and many are adjunct professors who work in their respective fields when not teaching. The college town leaves more to be desired, and the housing for upperclassmen is very expensive but overall, it was a great experience.

The University of Maryland is a great place to complete an undergraduate degree, as it's highly ranked for a lot of different types of majors, allowing you to know you can switch majors and still graduate from a great program. It's located in a great environment because it is isolated with a campus feel, but it also has a metro stop on campus and is extremely close to a major city in Washington D.C. The University has great corporate partnerships, which allows students to find jobs fairly easily... Read More

Maryland is a great school to go to! The athletics are a lot of fun and the academics are pretty solid too. The surrounding area is not very nice so I would say don’t wander too far off campus. There is also a lot of crime so I would not say it’s the safest.

I really enjoyed the campus I went to which was the University of Maryland at College Park. I thought it was very clean and fun to walk around. However, I wish I chose a different major. The classes themselves were very good. The teachers were very intelligent.

Maryland was an excellent academic experience. I learned from great professors, met lifelong friends and my wife. There was an amazing social life with tons of Greek options. It was close to Washington, DC and Baltimore for city excursions. There was bus and train service as well.

The University of Maryland - College Park was a big step in my life. Although I just went to college down the street, this university was always a place I wanted to attend. I made so many friends, participated in many organizations, partied very hard, and earned a degree that is helping to shape the life I want to live. Academically, it was rigorous and challenging to really carve a path for myself. At first I was an undecided major that went into kinesiology not knowing if I would even make it ti... Read More

I attended University of Maryland College Park from 2021 to 2024 while working full-time. I loved the supportive environment of the professors and my peers; honestly public health students and people who work in the field are one of the kindest and caring individuals!! Some of the classes I wanted to take were not available to me because they were only offered during certain times of the year which is unfortunate. I loved my experience at Univ. of MD. It had everything I wanted in a college including excellent courses, a beautiful campus, and an active student life environment. The enrollment size is large so a strong Greek system was important to me because getting ingolved helped make the school feel smaller and gave me a sense of belonging.
