UMASS Amherst was a great, affordable college experience that I would recommend to any Massachusetts residents. The academics are great, as is the on-campus life in general. Although it is a large campus, there are plenty of opportunities for more intimate learning and bonding with different study sessions and clubs. Amherst is a cute town and provides an environment for students to enjoy life outside of the classroom.

As a microbiology student I was highly exposed to research fundamentals and participated in a large array... Read More

Awesome student-powered businesses, groups, and events! Plenty of amazing students doing amazing independent projects. However, the administration is lacking in their connection with their own students.

A top rank research university that doesn't stand out until you get there and get to see the rich culture the area brings but also the immense number of different classes you can take with top tier researchers and professors surrounding you at all times.
