I attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln from 2008-2014. During that time period the campus was slightly less modern than it is now but still adequate. Living on campus was fine when I was there. The dorms were older and the one I lived in was torn down. The food was very high quality for college dorm food. As far as the quality of the education went, it was generally high quality with good professors, but given it was a large University quality could certainly vary. Classes on East Campus tended... The general social life there was fantastic and I'd definitely go again if I had to make the choice again.

I enjoyed my time at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. I thought the student atmosphere was good and gave me a good college experience. The academics were also good and helped me secure a good job shortly after graduation. The classes I took also helped prepare me for my career. The sports were also good to watch and enjoy.

The University of Nebraska College of Law connected me with great people. My fellow students are what made my law school experience great. The College itself plays an intense favoritism game among the students and the Nebraska firms. The bigger firms that donate to the school are prioritized and pushed by the career center. Alternatively, the students that kiss up to the administration are the ones constantly highlighted and catered to during and after their time at Nebraska Law.

I attended UNL in 2019 in a fully in-person schedule. I found the atmosphere on campus really enjoyable and friendly. They offer a wide variety of classes and majors. I ended up switching majors and the process was very smooth and the advisors were very helpful in ensuring I had all the credits I needed. A majority of the professors are very knowledgeable and willing to help but there were a couple that were very rude or their teaching styles didn’t line up well with how I learn. Overall would definitely... Read More

The University of Nebraska - Lincoln is a great college. It has wonderful spirit and is a safe campus. The business school is new as of 2017 and has wonderful features to it. Parking on campus is very easy despite how many attend. It is walkable and it has a bus route that goes to the other campuses.

Lots of oppurtunities for social life. But if you work and don't live in a dorm you won't have one. Most professors are very liberal-feeling. They can sort of push some democratic political beliefs during their teaching. A lot of them just read off of a powerpoint. Not much hands on. Overall, it was a fine experience. Decent walkability around buildings/classes.

I really enjoyed UNL and my classes and instructors were great. The business college was great and I think the classes offered here were great for all types of business majors. I liked the resources and tools given at the college and I think they set me up well for success after graduation.

As a state university in Nebraska, I think it offers a solid quality of education and a strong faculty. Most importantly, the tuition is relatively affordable, making it a good option for international students. In addition, the city of Lincoln is peaceful and quiet, which creates a great environment for focusing on studies.

I value the time I spent at UNL and appreciate the opportunities that were afforded to me there. I was exposed to many new ways of thinking and approaching problems, things I still leverage to this day in my job. The staff at UNL was knowledgeable and professional, I formed relationships with professors who I am still in contact with today. Socially I was able to participate in Greek life and network with many other students during my time. I very much appreciated my time at UNL and I would recommend... Read More

Program wasn't what I had thought it would be. Even though there was a specialization closer to what I had wanted to study, it wasn't an accurate description of the actual program. For it being a bigger university it was quite disappointing to not get a great investment in return.

UNL has a nice beautiful campus. It has many classes and majors. Professors seem knowledgeable. My only issue with it is it is easy to get lost in the crowd. They need more student supports and academic advisors. Overall it got me to where I am but it was a bumpy journey.

I had a great time at my institution. I felt that the classes and assignments were difficult, but they pushed me to be a better academic. Also, my advisor was aware of my career goals and took that into account when helping my sign up for class and getting me internships. She helped me get prepared for the future that I wanted. The book list was also detailed, including the key books in this history field while also including newer academic works that challenged different narratives.

I have enjoyed my time as a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I completed my bachelors degree there, and I also completed my masters degree and I’m on my way to complete my doctoral degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I have had a wonderful 10 years at the school I used to live in a dorms and they were very well-maintained. I love the community in the dorms and I would live in the dorms again if it was not for the price, I also enjoyed the dining halls and the variety of types... Read More

I graduated a while ago, but the experience was good overall, especially if you are an in state student which means cheaper costs.
Entering the workforce I didn't feel like I was behind or anything, but I also don't feel like most of what I learned ended up being applicable to my career as a software engineer. But it never hurts to have a degree on a resume, and I think the overall experience was still valuable.

UNL provided a great environment to be a student - both the college campus itself and the city of Lincoln. It felt secure enough to grow into an adult while also experimenting with who you are - your interests and passions. At the same time, I felt like I got a great education. I met worthwhile and smart people that guided me on my career and set me up for success. I later went on to attend veterinary school, in large part because of the work I did in undergrad.

I loved the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It was a good experience for a school not too far from home. I enjoyed the environment, the variety of classes and activities offered, most of my peers and professors, and the housing situation. My only issue was the focus put on Greek Life— I got roped into it and regret it!

My college has always coached young academicians and made them become more of what they need. Everything has always worked out and made things clear and manageable. Furthermore, the university has also made it easy for young people and people of various races to become what they need

I have no regrets about choosing the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for my undergraduate degree. I loved the campus experience, and it provided me with countless opportunities to learn and get involved. I feel like UNL greatly prepared me for my current career as an elementary school teacher. The amount of classroom experience we were provided from the start was invaluable in preparing me for a class of my own!
