I attending UNH college of professional studies online. I completed the RN to BSN program. The program required several general education credits. These courses were completely irrelevant to my degree and professional development. On two occasions I was required to purchase professor self published and obviously biased books. If you want to get a degree, but don't care about learning anything, this college is for you. The professor's are basically absent, and their curriculum is a joke. Every class so far has been structured in a way that people can get through with B's and C's and not learn anything. But getting a perfect A is hard because the grading is sloppily done, and assignments and quiz questions are graded incorrect when they are absolutely correct. The programming classes actively give false information, and use archaic teaching methods that force you to use terrible programming patterns and expect your code(or flowcharts, which are the most backward way to teach programming) to exactly match theirs, even if your code/flowchart is better.

Granite State College gives you all the things you would expect from a college and so much more. I was a 100% online student and I built a connection with my advisors and professors that was unmatched by other face to face college experiences I had. I hate to say the courses were easy, but they were, because when I had questions or didnt understand the material, the professors did their job and really gave me all the tools I needed to succeed. Read More how the courses were set up, their Moodle learning forum made online classes easy to navigate and the online tutoring at Brainfuse was so amazing and easy to use.
I had a child at 22, the chance to have to traditional college experience was just not a reality for me but thanks to Granite State College I had the opportunity to build bonds that one would expect from a traditional college setting and I learned so much about myself both educationally and as a student. The way the courses were set up were fair and the class sizes were reasonable. I never had any issues communicating with my professors and even using their web-based courses was just so easy.
I will say, it took me time to learn their system and this is where my advisor was just over the top outstanding. This person 100% went above and beyond to make sure I had no issues and taught me how to navigate the online system effortlessly. If your looking for a college that makes you feel like home but also provides real academic challenges then this place is for you!

I was in my mid 40's when i was laid off from my job at a manufacturing facility. No one was hiring in that field at the time. I miraculously got a job as a Para-educator; they needed someone who was an LNA. The student ended up moving away, and I was going to lose my job for a second time unless I could go back to school and become state certified as a Para-educator. I contacted GSC. They were awesome! A. degree that I had started 10 years earlier, and then earn an A. S. in Early Childhood education. I am now going to earn my B.S. in ECE with Teacher certification. I cannot say enough good things about GSC. The faculty are terrific, the classes challenging, the financial aid personnel are the best, and the classes are small and convenient. They offer online and on campus classes; I've attended both. I felt right at home even though I was middle age and hadn't been enrolled in school for a very long time. I graduated in 2013 with a 3.95 GPA! I do not believe that I would have been this successful any where else. My son is now attending GSC, and I couldn't be prouder!!
