I currently attend the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. I am working on a combined degree, both an MD as well as an MPH, or a Masters in Public Health. Overall, I have been very satisfied in the level of my education. UNC School of Medicine has recently changed the curriculum, and I am part of the first class to go through such a curriculum change. The curriculum focuses on allowing students to have more time devoted to 3rd and 4th year of medical school, traditionally the time where... Read More

I really love it here at UNCSOM. I think we have a lot of great things as an institution, and we are making strides to increase diversity. As far a transportation, the bus system is great but the parking situation is difficult and there is always construction going on but that and the cost of living are very much Chapel Hill. You cannot find a better deal for an MD than UNC-Chapel Hill. The quality of education combined with the affordable tuition (one of the lowest in the country!) made my decision to enroll a no-brainer. I am now in my last year of school, and I feel blessed every day to have received my medical education at UNC.

UNC is a fantastic place to learn to be a physician. The administration is constantly looking for students to input from student on how to make our experience better. The classes are hard, as they are at any medical school, but the other students and the faculty make it an overall enjoyable experience.

I really think that I could not have made a better decision in picking my graduate program. The quality of life for a student is actually pretty great which was a top priority of mine as well as diversity and UNC-CH delivered pretty well on both aspects. The cost of attendance is very affordable for a medical school level.
