In the beginning, I was honestly a little worried because I had never taken a full-time online course before. The first couple of weeks felt overwhelming and stressful since there was so much information being shared all at once. However, as time went on, I realized that staying organized and carefully reading every email and announcement made a huge difference. That was truly the key to keeping up with classes, assignments, and university updates.

One of the best parts of my experience was the support... Read More

I also appreciated how easy it was to get in touch with the university overall. Whether it was academic support, technical help, or general guidance, the staff was responsive and helpful throughout the program.

There were some cybersecurity issues during my time at the university, which initially caused concern among students. However, I believe UNCW handled the situation professionally and efficiently. The university kept students informed and took the necessary steps to address the issue quickly, which helped maintain trust and confidence.

Overall, while the experience started with some nervousness and adjustment, it turned out to be a positive and rewarding learning journey.

I had a great experience at UNCW. The quality of education was exceptional and the campus is beautiful. Most of my professors were great and always very helpful. There were interesting class offerings and the classes in my major allowed for interesting dialogue in class and personalized feedback from the professors.

This school has been so accommodating and they give a top notch education and I better price than the others in the area. The admissions counselors and our cohort advisor are helpful and answer any questions you have in a very quick turn around time.

I loved the university that I attended for a lot of different reasons. It was an amazing college experience and I highly recommend to anyone thinking of taking the step to complete higher education. First of all, campus is so beautiful. Every day while walking to class I would look around and think to myself how grateful I am that I get to be walking to class in such beautiful nature. I loved all of my classes, but especially the ones for my major. Every single English professor was amazing in their... Read More

I enjoyed my time at UNCW. The campus wasn’t super enormous, so it felt like a small community in a larger community. I had great professors for the most part, and enjoyed my classes. The campus of itself is beautiful, too. Wilmington is a stunning city and it was cool to live so close to the beach.

I had a great time at UNCW and would gladly recommend it to others. I lived on campus all four years and enjoyed the proximity to everything. The business school has amazing and helpful teachers that give individualized help as needed. I also had good teachers getting my theatre minor as well.

Overall, this school was great as it was medium sized and so close to the beach. I do think many people miss out on the aspects of a larger school though. If you are looking for large greek life, sports events (there is no football team), etc. then this may not be the school for you. Campus is gorgeous and continuing to grow. Since the school is close to beach, it is a large marine science school, so I would highly recommend it to anyone with that interest.

UNCW is overpriced. The professors are dinosaurs. The school is spending millions of dollars on new buildings but will not invest in the ACTUAL EDUCATION it provides. I would avoid this place like the plague. I did both my undergrad and my grad degree here, and it has been the single largest waste of money I have ever had. All you get is a rubber stamp, that diploma. You will NOT be taught anything meaningful. Professors are unwilling to learn and adapt to the changing environment and are stuck in... Read More

I returned to UNCW in 2016 to obtain my Professional MBA after several years of being in the workforce. I earned my undergraduate degree at UNCW as well in Communication Studies. While I loved every minute of my undergraduate years and I wouldn't trade them for anything, my graduate school years were some of the most challenging and rewarding to both myself personally and my career. It was then I got interested in my current career and have been fortunate enough to progress in that career in the... Read More

I go to UNCW as a nursing student and I can say it has been one of the worst experiences imaginable. I have been disrespected by a majority of the nursing staff and have found minimal help throughout the program. I will say there are a few professors that are wonderful, but they are few and far between. The nursing professors will actually go out of their way to disrespect students. I have been called a liar, cheater, and incompetent. Thankfully I found a job in what I love and and am about to graduate... Read More

The school has subpar staff and teachers. The educations is overpriced and useless. Teachers are not willing to work with students during national emergencies, hurricanes and the corona virus. Campus police prey on students for more income in top of the already high price for an underdeveloped campus with subpar opportunities for students. Any other UNC school is a better option, but they all are overpriced subpar NC public schools.

Being a high school senior can be a scary time. Taking the SAT's and figuring out where you want to go to college. You tour all these schools who tell you why they are the best and why you should attend. I visited about six colleges before touring UNCW, and I kept thinking to myself, when will I find a school that feels like home. Finally, when I visited UNCW, it felt like home. The campus is beautiful, there are trees everywhere and small ponds to relax by between classes. UNCW has done a great... Read More

University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) was a great college. They have a wonderful growing facility with teachers that truly care about their students. The university is student friendly, with a campus that offers a variety of degrees and activities. They also host a lot of lectures that are open to the public that I sometimes attend to this day, almost 20 years later.

Simply said, UNCW gave me some of the best years of my life. I attended after two years as a transfer student to finish my bachelor's degree in Biology. The biology/marine bio department was well involved in many organizations that lead many students to insightful and amazing experiences. The instructors for the most part were amiable people and didn't hesitate to set up a meeting with you in their offices. They would also really try to remember your name, which was important to me as it showed they... Read More

I had a wonderful experience at UNCW. The teachers there are very helpful and want their students to do well both academically and in life. There are several resources available to students in order to succeed. There is an extension site at the local community college in Jacksonville and on the military base at Camp Lejuene. There are also counselors at these sites from UNCW that can help just as good as students attending the main campus site.

My college was thorough and did a good job in providing the necessary skills that I needed to become a Physical Education teacher. I did have a problem with some of the instructors. They seemed to have favorites and didn't really take the time to help me through my student teaching process. I did graduate and went on to teach physical education. I stayed home when I had my own little ones and now I am teaching Special Education in Hawaii.
