My education at UNT provided a strong foundation in both analytical thinking and practical problem-solving, which I’ve directly applied in my professional career. Through a combination of coursework and hands-on projects, I developed the ability to interpret complex data, communicate technical concepts clearly, and approach challenges with a structured, solutions-oriented mindset.

The program emphasized real-world application, which helped me transition smoothly into a fast-paced, client-facing technical... Read More

Overall, my UNT experience equipped me with both the technical competencies and the adaptability needed to perform effectively and continue growing in a dynamic work environment.

The University of North Texas (UNT) is one of the best universities in Texas to attend. I originally came to the school to study Biochemistry, but unfortunately some circumstances led me to change my major. The financial aid advisors, professors, and career coach were so helpful to me during this transition. I was able to work out a plan that kept me on track to graduate.

Additionally, UNT has great student life and there's an organization for everyone. Plenty of food options on campus and a lot... Read More

I attended The University of Texas at Austin for my Doctorate in Computer Science, and it was an excellent experience. The professors were knowledgeable and approachable, making challenging topics easier to understand. The campus community is vibrant and collaborative, offering countless opportunities for teamwork, research, and personal growth. Resources like the libraries, career services, and labs were top-notch and helped me succeed academically and professionally. While some administrative processes... Read More

Degree: Marketing - MBA

I was very concerned when I first started looking into what was required to get an MBA. I knew it was always something I wanted to do in my life, but I do have a lot of obligations in my life. However, after researching a bunch of colleges and speaking to the academic advisors, I knew UNT was right for me and that they would work with me. The amount of time and effort my teachers and advisors has put in to make sure that I had what I needed to succeed is something I will always be thankful for.

Amazing culture on campus but administrative decisions can be very dumb. So many hypocritical rules for a school that claims to be so accepting and liberal. The students are very caring and it’s easy to make friends! Joining clubs is fun and everyone seems eager to participate in things

UNT was one of few schools offering my program of study. It also offered great scholarships and grants and clubs that created a very welcoming atmosphere. On-campus food improved alot over the years that I was there. Parking was always terrible. Grocery stores were difficult to get to without a car.

This is a very standard, middle of the road school. There were aspects I liked, such as the student center, some interesting course options, and the helpful staff. However, some instructors/professors did not have very well thought out curriculum. I feel some of the course work was outdated and did not take into account the type of world that was beginning to form. I was a marketing minor, and the marketing courses were very narrow. This has probably changed in the past 9 years, but these are all... Read More

The University of North Texas is an amazing college for any student at any age. The professors are very nice and understanding. The environment is engaging and nice. The libraries are very big with a lot of resources academically and mental health resources as well. Overall I would recommend this school to a friend!

This university had received various valuable partnerships with Howard Hughes Medical Institute, which sparked my interest and subsequent career in clinical research. The course curriculum and professors were top notch and I had the privilege of working in various research labs with distinguished experts in the field, including plant molecular biology and cell biology.

I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degree at the University of North Texas, and was impressed with the faculty and curriculum at both levels. It is a lovely campus with lots of resources, and in a very community-oriented city with plenty to do. I also especially appreciated the flexibility in the graduate program, as it allowed me to work full time while getting my degree.

UNT overall had a great English program with a number of great professors that improved my perspective. Most of the professors there were clearly passionate about their fields, and that always reached me. I'm very glad to have had those professors, as I think otherwise the learning process may have felt tedious, and I wouldn't have quite the same drive or passion as I do for those subjects now.

I transferred to UNT during COVID after attending a private 4-year school for two years and a community college for one. I will say that in comparison to community college, UNT was less academically rigorous. I had a full course load and felt that a lot of the things that I was doing were simply busywork from my professors. I will say that I had a great time socially at UNT. With lots of people living either on campus or in apartments nearby, it was very easy to make friends.

The University of North Texas gave me a solid academic experience while earning my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. The professors were knowledgeable and the coursework covered many important areas of the criminal justice system. However, one challenge I’ve faced since graduating is finding employment outside of traditional law enforcement roles. I wish the program had offered more guidance on alternative career paths and internships in related fields like compliance, investigations, or policy... Read More

The University of North Texas was an ok school. I attended both undergraduate and graduate school there from 2013-2018. I found that like most colleges, it is hard to navigate the system. My undergraduate program had large classes and felt like a cattle call where students can get lost as just a number. As a graduate student, I felt my professors knew who I was and actually cared. Student activities were ok, although support is lacking in helping students navigate the school. Academic advisors and... Read More

UNT definitely a very great school to attend if you have a tight budget. I met wonderful friends there that helped through ups and downs. I had great professors who supported and accepted me fully. The school has lots of free events from UPC on campus.

UNT is very difficult/different for non-traditional students. For this reason, I only recommend it to in person and on-campus “traditional” students. Denton is also not the easiest town, its small but very divided between college students and residents.

I have spent about 6 years attending the University of North Texas- my experience is full of mostly ups rather than downs. I pursued a music performance/education degree for my first bachelor's and had about the best experience I feel like most other music degree plans could not offer elsewhere.

Overall pretty good. Most of the professors were of medium-high quality that care about their subject, but not all. The business building was relatively new and a nice place to study. The business capstone class was fairly interesting and put me into an environment that flourished in. However, I did not like that nearly every class used a 'test bank' at that point, in which students could locate the answers for the tests online if they paid a bit of money, ruining the integrity of the class. I enjoyed attending the University of North Texas for many different reasons. There were a wide variety of courses available to students regardless of their major. Even though I was a science major I was able to take several different music courses and beverage survey. I felt like I could customize my degree more so than at other universities that I had previously considered. UNT is also a highly diverse campus and I got to meet people from many different countries.
