I had an incredible 4 years at UW. While my freshman year was impacted due to Covid-19, I feel that I was able to persevere, and accomplish what I wanted to at college. I found my major, joined clubs, rushed a sorority, went to football games, and made great friends. I couldn’t have asked for a more transformative experience or better way to find myself.

The University of Wisconsin - Madison was a beautiful campus with a countless amount of opportunities to get whatever you want out of your college experience, whether it be top-tier academics, social experiences, career development, or club involvement. With such a large student body, there were plenty of like minded people to enjoy your years at college with. Attending Wisconsin was one of the best decisions I made when choosing to go to college and continue my learning. Firstly, the academics of the school are one of the top in the country, with a wide selection of classes and topics with some of the best professors available. Secondly, the campus is one of the most beautiful college campuses I have had the pleasure of visiting. Being located on the 2 lakes, during the summer it becomes one of the most visually stunning places in the country. Lastly,... Read More

I graduated from UW-Madison in 2024 and did a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology. My experience in the Elementary Education program was awful, and after graduating I would not have recommended it to anyone else. However, I'm told they have made some changes to the program that have likely improved it substantially. That being said, my experience studying Psychology was absolutely AMAZING, and I felt that I was in a very rigorous yet enjoyable and interesting program. I also loved... Read More

UW-Madison is a wonderful school. From being a "public-ivy" as US News and Report claims in terms of academic rigor, to providing a fantastic student life. There are many activites for students to do while on campus to grow as a person, from greek life, to sporting events, to so much more. It gives its students all the tools to be successful in their careers.

I cannot say enough good things about the University of Wisconsin. Attending this university opened up a whole new world for me. It exposed me to a diverse array of people, worldviews, and ways of thinking, allowing me to grow in ways that are still paying dividends. Aside from just a degree, this school provides countless opportunities for community and for exploring curiosities, whether they be in quantum physics or gender studies. There is a group, a club, an activity for everyone. My time at... Read More

Truly the best 4 years of my life. I was fortunate to have the most supportive and accomplished mentors who are still huge parts of my life even after graduation. Wisconsin has incredible resources, if you take advantage of them, and really gives you the foundation to accomplish so much even as an undergraduate (conferences, leadership, community service, etc.) Socially, there is so much to do in Madison and everyone on and off campus is so friendly and genuine. I made my closest friends here, and... Read More

I am a very big fan of the University of Wisconsin - Madison. While it was the only school I realistically would have gone to, I applied to one very competitive school and UW-Madison, I believe that going to Madison was a far better experience than what I would have had at the other school. I was able to realize my lifelong dream of becoming a Division-I student-athlete and was able to pursue the major I wanted at an extremely high level. The school is also very well rounded and has very competitive... Read More

The school itself is great, but the English department could be better. Some of the teaching styles just didn't resonate with me, and there was a decent amount of overlap in creative writing classes especially. Even the advanced classes felt quite beginner, almost like I was taking the same classes semester after semester at times. But the vibes are really good and people are very nice, so it's also a good experience. I probably also could've taken better advantage of some of the opportunities available.... Read More

My time at UW was really fun and also enriching. I found that my coursework in the art history and french departments were rigorous and challenged me appropriately. I felt that I made significant progress in these classes. As someone who started in the arts department in the fall of 2020, however, it was definitely harder to feel like I was making progress in my artistic practice and I did feel rather lost, but that was probably because of the pandemic and not the quality of instruction. Later on,... Read More

UW-Madison is a great school. The campus is nice, the tuition (as a state school) isn’t as bad as smaller liberal arts schools, and the academics are quite good. My masters program in particular prepared me to have a good start to my career, as opportunities for internships were widely available.

You can't make a small school big, but you can make a big school small. For all interests, there are groups that share passions. Enjoy the lakes, the nature trails, world-class sports, the state capital, and a tremendous education. You won't regret a degree from wisconsin

UW - Madison was a great school in a great city. The quality of my education and resources available to me was top notch. The variety of classes was incredibly diverse. I will say, the available art classes were slightly limited. Additionally, the options for art degrees are limited and the credit requirements for my art degree seemed kind of unnecessary at times.

I was in the UW Flex program, and it seemed perfect until I found out you can basically not do any work, and just donate to the right professor for an easy A. No thanks, unlike some of my classmates, I am proud I finished with old fashioned hard work.

Wisconsin does not car about student issues or problems. They only care that you pay your tuition. Stay away Tried to drop a class but was unable to figure out the process using company computer. Called and emailed multiple multiple times but no one was Ble to help me. Then the school came after me for money even though the issue was on their end.
