Utah State University was a great school and their online program for a degree in Family Life Studies was educational and convenient. It was nice to be able to take all the necessary classes online since I was not near the campus and couldn't uproot my family to continue my education. The professors at USU were great to work with and were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Also the advisors were very educated and there to help make sure you had the information you needed.

USU was a great school that offered a variety of programs that met my needs as a distance learning student. They were also the most reasonable price wise for the type of degree I was working toward.

This was a completely online program. Since this program partially specializes in eLearning and online learning their online courses are well developed. You feel a sense of community with each class you take and never feel like you are alone. Most of every learning theory, recourse, technology, and strategy I learned I was able to apply directly back into my classroom for my students. My teaching has been greatly enhanced by what was taught in this program. It was affordable and there were almost... Read More

The program helped me learn how to better my teaching and apply new research based practices. I understand now, where the profession of being a teacher has come from and I understand better the challenges that are associated with the profession. The classes have taught me how to be a better instructor in reading and writing, how to work with students that come from diverse backgrounds, and how to differentiate instruction to try to meet the needs of all my students.

I am working on my teaching license and my masters degree simultaneously. I attended the distance campus in Salt Lake City, UT. USU is a great school. The teachers are great. I can honestly say my teaching improved because of these classes. The classes are broadcasted across the state, and the teachers do a great job of using the technology to make you feel like you are in the classroom with them.

I did the ATP program through Utah state and it was a great program with fabulous instructors who understood just how busy our lives were. They made learning fun but most importantly applicable to our everyday jobs. I was able to go through the program with the same set of people as a cohort. We are still able to feed ideas off of each other and make professional decisions with great input from our past classmates. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is wanting to pursue a special... Read More

My time there is filled with wonderful memories. Like most universities, your professor relationships can be hit or miss. I had a few teachers that I didn't jive with. I find it interesting how often university professors are professional in their field of study but struggle with the "teaching" aspect of it. That being said, however, the education professors were all of the, fantastic. All of the teachers I had, came with a rich and diverse background of experience at different levels of education.... Everyone, including staff, professors, and students, are extremely helpful and supportive. I never thought I would make it to where I am today and Utah State has helped by giving me incredible opportunities and support. I wish the school and surrounding area was a bit more diverse. I am not used to living in a community of 90% Caucasian Mormon families, although it is growing. It's an incredible place to live if you like the outdoors!

I absolutely loved USU. The professors are phenomenal and so willing to help you out. I'm especially fond, obviously, of those professors I interacted with in the English department. You can tell they love what they teach. I would recommend USU to anyone, regardless of major.
