This was a completely online program. Since this program partially specializes in eLearning and online learning their online courses are well developed. You feel a sense of community with each class you take and never feel like you are alone. I also feel like I have more open doors of opportunity. If I do not want to continue as a public educator, I feel like this program has made it possible for me to easily pursue another career and potentially make more money. Instructional designers are in high demand and so this is a hot degree right now. Cooperate and education institutions are constantly hiring and I would get at least 2 emails a week from USU faculty and staff spreading the word of a new job opportunity that was sent their way.

I did the ATP program through Utah state and it was a great program with fabulous instructors who understood just how busy our lives were. They made learning fun but most importantly applicable to our everyday jobs. I was able to go through the program with the same set of people as a cohort. We are still able to feed ideas off of each other and make professional decisions with great input from our past classmates. There are very few days that go by that I do not apply the things that I was able to learn from the Utah State University ATP program.

My time there is filled with wonderful memories. Like most universities, your professor relationships can be hit or miss. I had a few teachers that I didn't jive with. I find it interesting how often university professors are professional in their field of study but struggle with the "teaching" aspect of it. Read More I was able to get into a real live classroom and participate in teaching and observing on several occasions with was the most important part of my educational experience. The school has multiple ways of providing access to the classes. They seem to be one of the leaders of online and blended teaching. I did most of my undergraduate studies in a traditional style on campus class, but I am now in the middle of a completely online masters degree which has been awesome! The school is constantly sending emails of support, and job opportunities that come their way. I feel like it prepared me to be a good teacher, and is continuing to open doors of career opportunities for me. It is not so common to get multiple job offers in today's economy but this school has given that to me.
