Virginia Tech has world-class instructors who are experts in their fields. The campus is always bustling with activity, there is plenty to see and do.

Overall, the program has been helpful in providing insight to the public health profession. The professors have been more than helpful and it has been a wonderful experience. Each class has provided detail into what the future of public health holds for us current students.

The Master of Public Health program is challenging, but the faculty are accessible and want you to succeed. The practicum is very beneficial and allows you to apply what you have learned and acquire skills and experience essential to your professional career. Blacksburg is a beautiful area with affordable housing, and Blacksburg Transit is very nice and convenient for Southwest VA. I think the pros of this graduate program are that it is flexible; one can attend classes while working a full-time job, and there is a good mixture of traditional and online coursework. The cons are that it is a relatively new program, and some of the courses need further development; also there are only two concentration tracks, as apposed to other MPH programs that have more options.
