Weber State's online Masters of Criminal Justice program has been a great, affordable and highly educational program. I am a current student in the Master's of Criminal Justice program. I am currently in my third semester. I have had mostly positive experiences in this program, the professors give good feedback and the curriculum isn't overly challenging. I have had some significant challenges working with the Student Disabilities Center however. I have a disability and their program is not well organized. They asked me to submit confidential medical paperwork over email. I ask for a guarantee that the email would... Read More be kept confidential. They could not provide one. They allowed an untrained undergraduate student access to a list of student emails who are registered with disabilities. This student sent an email reveling our disability status to over 200 people on campus. I complained, they were dismissive. I tried to schedule a test on campus; it was a nightmare where I was given the wrong information multiple times by multiple people. In short, I do think this is a good master's program, but I cannot, in good conscious, recommend this program to any student with a disability who is in need of any kind of accommodation.

The Spanish program was great. All of the professors had high moral standards. The Art program was great in that I edited it with the help of the department head, Jim Jacobs. He allowed me to replace the nude drawing class with illustration. I respect him a lot for this. There were a few professors at Weber State who really talked down about "Mormons" and challenged us (mocked us) in class. The Ogden LDS Institute is a great program for the LDS Students (under age 31) and quite necessary if the student... Read More loves the church and believes it is led by Jesus Christ. The Science courses I took at Weber State were top notch. The graphic design courses were great courses but when I attended, I did not have the awesome art building students have now. It was great exercise. I got to run all over campus with a heavy art portfolio and a heavy pack of art supplies and books all the time. Since there are a great many hills, I got great workouts every day. The poor unfortunate students of the Visual Arts program today have to depend upon the gym much more, as they will not get much exercise with everything in one place now in that beautiful art building. I loved the opportunity to work as a computer lab aid and become a supervisor of lab aids. This is one of the things that helped me land a job at Franklin Covey Coaching in 2001. The work on campus opportunities are great and will give the student job experience that will help them get an even better job later. Living while attending Weber State is cost-efficient, as one can get an apartment nearby for much less than one can in other University cities in Utah. I did meet my spouse at Weber State. The social life there is great. I started and ran my own graphic design business. Most of what I learned to make me successful at running a business, I did not learn from Weber State University. Although I was trained in the Art and Design side, I did not take any courses on communications, small business finance, web site design, interpersonal communication, accounting, business management, entrepreneurship or marketing. These would have been great courses to take. This was a big flaw in my study decisions. If you wish to study graphic design at any University, please take classes in these so that if someday you wish to start your own business, you will have less to learn in order to do so.

The pros for this program are incredible. The experience and knowledge of the faculty and staff are incredible. They are willing to meet with students outside of class to discuss the coursework, experiences, and potential internships or job opportunities. The workload is appropriate and helps prepare students to succeed at the Certification exam. The cons of the program is the diversity. Students are diverse in the demographics of where they were raised and the undergraduate programs attended, but... Read More there is little diversity in race, socioeconomic status, and personalities.

I loved Weber State. Everything could be done online, and if something was hard to figure out or do. They were easy to call or go in and talk to. Always willing to help. Always stuff you could look up to figure out what classes you need to take for your major or program or whatever you were doing. Books are way easy to buy, and was easy to sell back. When buying books they always give you a list of the books that are cheaper somewhere else. Help you compare prices. That way you can buy the cheapest... Read More option. Ive been going to Weber for 4 years. I have never had a problem that they couldn't solve. All the professors are very helpful and very enjoyable. I really love the online professors also. They will email you back and get back to you with in a few hours to a day. Never a long ways out. They are always willing to work with you and make sure you get the grade you deserve and make sure that you understand everything fully. They have classes at all times of the day morning, afternoon, and night. With online classes you can really do them any time of the day! Usually with them you have a week to complete your set of assignments and tests. Which you have the material way in advanced. Cheaper then most other colleges. I highly recommend Weber State. I love it!!!!!!!

Weber State University Masters of Athletic Training Program is phenomenal. Most out-of-state students receive the out-of-state tuition waiver, and they only pay in-state tuition. Weber State has 100% first time pass rate for the Board of Certification exam. The Program Director and Faculty Staff have years of connections and an extended network to help students pursue various opportunities. Read More Director is the State President, and the faculty present at multiple conferences. The academics are vigorous, but set at a level to challenge students and help them succeed. Ogden is a nice city, but it's a smaller town north of Salt Lake City. There are things to do, but it's not the city life. However, Ogden is one of the most diverse cities in Utah for the LDS population among other diversity groups.
